2013 is coming to an end and lots of products have been launched in this glorious year. We’ve tried many of them – from makeup and skincare products to hair and body treatments. Here are what we love this year (in no particular order of preference):
YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Rebel Nudes
These lip glosses win in many, many aspects: great packaging, pretty colours, luxurious texture that’s cooling, hydrated and long-lasting, and has a nice scent to boot. Its all-rounded performance makes this lip gloss our holy grail this year.
L’Oreal Paris Hydra Fresh Hydration + Antiox Active Mask-In Lotion
This is our favourite L’Oreal Paris skincare product so far. Used as a toner, this delivers so much moisturising benefits it’s like applying a mask onto your skin. Keith and I absolutely love how this leaves a soft and supple feeling on our skin.
Spa Botanica Herbal Compress Massage
I’m already a huge fan of the massages at Spa Botanica and this one comes with a herb-infused compress that leaves a soothing, therapeutic sensation on my body. Coupled with top-notched service and facilities, it was an absolute treat.

Browhaus Brow Resurrection
Another worthy beauty treatment that made it to our top 10 list is the Brow Resurrection by Browhaus. The natural-looking and long-lasting brow service made Keith a very happy man in 2013.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum
It wasn’t just Keith’s brows that are thankful. My lashes are super happy too, thanks to this brow and lash serum by Elizabeth Arden. Easy-to-use and delivering great results, this is definitely a strongly recommended product from us in 2013.

Dermal Therapy Blistop
The effectiveness of this blister prevention spray was discovered by my mum after a bad experience with new shoes. Well, the full story of what happened has been chronicled.

Origins Clear Improvement Mask
While this is not a new product that’s launched this year, we are reminded how great this product is when we tried it again this year. The charcoal in the formula act as “magnets” to suck up the impurities that are in our skin. It leaves our skin feeling clean and smooth.

Benefit Cosmetics Fine One One
A blusher, highlighter and lipstick, this multitasking product is the dream of every on-the-go girl. We also particularly like the smart packaging that makes it the perfect travel companion too.

L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil
Just how extraordinary is this product? Well, with its humble price tag, it’s on par, if not better than another hair oil we’ve tried from a luxury brand. This helps to tame frizz and makes hair feel smooth and look shiny immediately. It also doesn’t leave any grease behind on the hair and hands.
Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum
Refreshing and soothing, the star product of the new collection from Biotherm addresses the problems that show up on skin that can be controlled i.e. those that are not due to chronological ageing. I love how it makes skin look less fatigue immediately, and the alluring scent that lingers after using it.
