The alche{me} Clear & Mattify {me} Serum absorbs quickly into skin and has a herbal scent. While I don’t see much improvement in clearing out acne scars, it helps dry out pimples quickly. The product is also great at oil control.

It feels heavy during the first try. The smell was not exactly very pleasant either. However after using it for a week, I realised that it really helps to control my oil! Typically I would need to use 6 or 7 sheets of blotting sheets per day but after using this product, I only needed at most 3 or 4 sheets! I was really impressed with how my skin feels after using it and how it has helped my makeup hold up.

After using the product faithfully, I started seeing an improvement in my skin’s texture. I like that its ingredients are mostly derived from plants and the product is paraben-free. I have heard of the brand before trying it and what I’m most concerned about is whether it’ll be able to lighten the appearance of my pigmentation. I find the texture of the product lightweight, making it suitable for using in Singapore’s hot and humid weather. It improved my skin’s texture after about 2 to 3 weeks of usage, and I like that it also improved my skin’s hydration.
