At first glance, we thought we were looking at those multi-coloured pens we used to own when we were in school. You know, the ones that has black, blue, red, and green shades, and we love clicking around just for fun?
Instead of a handy stationery, what’s new in the beauty world is this: the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro. This is a 4-in-1 brow defining and highlighting pencil that help you achieve clean, shaped brows with definition and dimension. There are four shades available in the product: two shades to fill in brows, an edge definer to sharpen brow shape, and an arch highlighter to accentuate brow arch.
What do we think of the Brow Contour Pro?
Don’t be deceived by its “pen-like” appearance. The product is actually very creamy and easily blendable. Its fine tip also makes it easy to create precise lines for a sharper look. We wore it for a swim and notice that while it’s feathered off a little, it didn’t totally wear off – a nod to its waterproof promise. Thankfully, it comes off easily once you use a makeup remover on it.
We love that the smart format makes it an incredibly portable product that’s great for on-the-go touch-up and travelling. Instead of bringing a few products to create the perfect brow look, we find it easy to get the same result with just this one product. It also helps that the packaging look so sleek, we are sure it makes for a conversation-starter when we whip it out before our beauty enthusiastic friends.
The only thing we could complain about? The pen can’t be retracted after it’s been dispensed. In other words, go easy with it every time you need to turn the knob to dispense more.
The product is already available at all Benefit boutiques and at Sephora, and retails at SGD57. There are four shades available to suit a range of skin tones and hair colours.
In conjunction with the launch of the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro, its Brow Bar has also introduced a new brow style that you can request for when you’re there for brow services. Besides the current offerings of Straight, Natural, and Feathered Brows, you can request for the Contour Brows look. We tried it and thought it looked on fleek! What do you think?
