One of the privileges of being on the Daily Vanity team is how often we get the opportunity to try the latest beauty products. So we are really be able to make a decent comparison and judgement on what’s good and what’s not. This is, of course, besides the fact that we are all bona fide beauty junkies off-duty, which involves us purchasing way too many beauty products than we can. Read on to see what products we love most in 2015.

Kristen Juliet Soh: Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate
I rediscovered the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate this year, and like an old friend that you love but haven’t seen in a while, you’ll hit it off immediately once you get reacquainted; this is exactly how I felt when I started using the serum again. I don’t have very serious skin concerns so most skincare products don’t have very visible effects on me, but this serum helps my skin look more youthful, and have people tell me that.
Tiara Surya Dusqie: Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
Definitely one of the top products I’ve discovered in 2015: Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. This. Foundation. Is. Amazing. It’s so lightweight and comfortable to wear, even on a day-to-day basis. It has brilliant medium to full coverage and it never makes my skin look cakey. I have dry skin, and it doesn’t cling on to the drier areas on my face. The foundation also doesn’t have SPF so I don’t have to worry about getting a white cast in flash photography. It’s also great for events because it lasts all day!
Charlene Judith Lee: VDL Beauty Treatment Oil
My favourite product in 2015 is the VDL Beauty Treatment Oil. Made up of seven different types of natural oils, it sounds pretty heavy but it actually sinks into the skin quite easily. You can use it by itself or mix a few drops into your moisturiser, which is what I like to do. The oil keeps my skin well-hydrated, radiant and just very healthy-looking overall… Quite unlike any other product which I have used before! I’m definitely making this permanent in my beauty regimen.
Jasmine Teo: Shu Uemura Tsuya Youthful Radiance Generator Essence
I’m a fan of Shu Uemura’s Tsuya Skin range and my favourite product is the Youthful Radiance Generator Essence. It has been part of my daily skincare routine for the past two years and I’ve seen massive improvements in my skin condition (within the first week of use, actually!) It brightens up my complexion and preps it well for make up application. It’s amazing how a tiny drop of essence can make such a great difference.
Vanessa Koh: NARS Juliette Lipstick
In a pinkish-coral shade, the NARS Juliette Lipstick has served as my go-to lipstick in 2015 whenever I needed something to give me that extra oomph. Instantly adding colour and depth to any outfit, this lipstick not only brightens my face, but it also helps add that spring in my steps because I simply feel good wearing it. Moisturising, Juliette glides easily onto the lips and stays on for a good three to four hours. The pigmentation of the lip colour is also pretty good – one swipe gives me an opaque coverage. With 40 different shades in this collection, it was really hard choosing the ones I wanted to purchase but I am glad that Juliette, did not disappoint!
Joane Ling: Etude House Real Art No Wash Cleansing Water [HYDRA]
The Etude House Real Art No Wash Cleansing Water [HYDRA] is a recently-launched new and improved formula of its predecessor Real Art No Wash Cleansing Water, and it’s my pick for 2015. At long last, I’ve found the perfect makeup cleanser! No more terrible experiences with cleansers and wipes that do not adequately remove makeup, smell of strong alcohol, leave behind oily residue or sting the corner of my eyes. This cleansing water does not only remove waterproof eye makeup without transforming me into a panda (yes, including the most stubborn of mascaras), it is also superbly hydrating and comfortable to the skin. A few quick swipes and I’m ready for bed. Amazing.
Jacelyn Lim: Clio Virgin Kiss Tension Lipstick
I was actually given the Clio Virgin Kiss Tension Lipstick to do a product review on, but I loved it so much I purchased it in another colour – 16 Red Liar – myself. What I love about the product is it is extremely build-able and therefore versatile. For the 16 Red Liar, I dab it slightly on moisturised lips and get a colour that resembles a tint like most Korean girls sport. If I continue applying more layers, I get a dark, intense red. The best part of the Clio Tension Lipstick is that it lasts so long. Whether you apply one layer or not, it lasts through a meal and drinks (of course a little fading is normal).
