I admit I horde lipsticks. I have at least 20 in different shades, some glittery, some matte, some I buy merely because the packaging look great.
But if we really have to give up our collection and go for just four shades that we can use for any occasion, mood and personality, what Make Up For Ever has may be them.
The brand’s creator and Artistic Director Dany Sanz has chosen four iconic shades: Playful Pink (#51), Rebellious Red (#52), Confident Coral (#N51) and Naughty Nude (#N52) as the colours to represent different facets of a woman.
Created in 2010, the Rouge Artist range of lipsticks feature 100 gorgeous shades, and these four timeless colours headline the collection this year.

What we love about them?
Just like the rest of the Rouge Artist lipsticks, these four lipsticks also deliver great colour payoff, thanks to its high saturation of pigments – with over 50% more pure pigments than a traditional lipstick on average.
Because of the strong pigment, it only takes one swipe to get the perfect pout. Most importantly, hydration is not compromised, and the colour lasts forever.
And true to what Dany Sanz foresaw, we find that all we need are these four shades in our makeup pouch to create any look we want. An everyday look can be done effortlessly with the Naughty Nude (#N52), coupled with strong eyebrows and eye makeup, and this can be easily transformed into a party look in the evening, when you top up your lips with the Rebellious Red (#52). Look good at a job interview with the Confident Coral (#N51), and then change it up with Playful Pink (#51) when you meet your beau in the evening.
These four shades from the Rouge Artist range are available at Sephora stores and at the Make Up For Ever Academy & Pro-Loft, located at 36 & 38 Armenian Street.
