Long-lasting hydration is a gift. It’s hard to find a moisturiser with a texture that you love, that also deliver high level of moisturisation throughout the day. But it looks like I’ve found it in the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream – my favourite in my beauty stash recently.

This cream is formulated with Antarcticine, a glacial protein, and Squalene, which is derived from olive fruit. Together, these ingredients are able to impart hydration to dehydrated, dull skin – yes, in other words, my skin.

Dehydrated skin is a huge concern for me, because it makes me look tired, and makes fine lines appear. Parched, flaky skin also isn’t a good look at all. I like how this cream soothes my skin immediately, and also acts as a great primer to let makeup go on more smoothly.

Also, don’t be deceived by its name and creamy look. If you’re expecting a heavy, greasy cream, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. This cream isn’t thick the moment you massage it in with your hands. In fact, the skin drinks it up quickly and it doesn’t leave behind any uncomfortable oiliness. The skin feels velvety smooth right after application. You may also be pleased to know that the formula is fragrance-free.

I feel that the cream has helped to balance out my skin’s pH so that it remains in a normal state throughout other day – neither too dry nor too oily. This also means that makeup no longer budge as badly during midday.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream retails at SGD48 at all Kiehl’s stores.
