“Selfie” was crowned Word of the Year in 2013 by Oxford Dictionaries and there’s no wonder why. This term has gone from a niche hashtag to the mainstream, and according to the Consumer Behaviour Survey (Beauty Industry) 2015 that we conducted, it shows that almost every respondent says they have taken a selfie before, and almost 10% says they take one or more selfies every day.

This makes the new product by Etude House a really appealing one because it is designed with better selfies in mind. The new Beauty Shot Face Blur SPF15/PA+ uses a blend of powders to create the look of radiance. It visibly blurs out imperfections for the camera to promise selfie-ready skin.

Is The Etude House Face Blur Good?

 Face-Blur

It comes with a nozzle that dispenses an appropriate amount of product in just one pump. Face Blur’s texture is lightweight, and comes in a coral-pearl shade that is suitable for my skin tone.

It glides on the skin very easily, and I notice that it immediately brighten my complexion by one shade. I like that it gives my skin a very healthy glow, and refines the appearance of my pores in an “air-brushed” manner.

If you don’t have a lot of blemishes to cover, I’d suggest that you use it alone, because it helps give the look of naturally even skin tone, and I think it’ll be quite a shame to make the makeup you wear look heavier and less natural, if you were to wear foundation or concealer over it.

Another thing that I realise it does is that it helps with oil control. I notice that my skin doesn’t get as oily during mid-day when I wear the Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur.

Take note, however, that this product doesn’t carry a lot of sun protection, so it is important to still get sufficient sunscreen on before you apply it.

The Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur SPF15/PA+ retails at SGD27.90 and is available at all Etude House stores.
