Known for harnessing the power of moisture-binding prickly pear cactus that’s sourced from the Sahara Desert, Huxley’s Cleansing Oil is formulated to remove stubborn dirt and impurities lodged deep within pores, without stripping skin of its natural moisture. The product is also designed to moisturise and protect skin as it removes makeup and other grime.
Containing exclusive botanical ingredients, Huxley’s Cleansing Oil has a luxurious scent, and is best used together with the Huxley Cleansing Foam; Deep Clean, Deep Moist. Together, the duo is able to energise skin and promote its natural defenses.
Now that the products are finally in Singapore, we want to know if Huxley’s Cleansing Oil (and Cleansing Foam) lives up to these benefits. We asked our editor, as well as 20 Daily Vanity readers, to review the two cleansing products and share with us their honest opinions about them.

I am a huge fan of cleansing oils because of how easy and effective it is for makeup removal, compared to other types of formulas. My strong preference makes me a long-time user of cleansing oils. I’ve tried several brands and eventually, I found one that I really like and have been sticking to it for many years.
The reason why I wanted to share this background with you is to let you know how picky I am with the cleansing oil I use, and that there’s already one that I am loyal too. What this means is that I am a critical reviewer that’s hard to sway when it comes to a cleansing oil review.
First impressions count, and it’s great that Huxley scored a solid first brownie point with me when it comes to the sleek and understated packaging the Cleansing Oil comes in. In a slim and sleek bottle, it makes it easy to hold and dispense the product – and which self-respecting beauty enthusiast will say no to such a beautiful product in her bathroom, and a great user experience?
Like the other Huxley products I’ve tried, the Cleansing Oil has a subtle, pleasant scent that is soothing and calming. In terms of texture, it has a smooth consistency that doesn’t feel as oily as regular cleansing oil. It forms a comforting, soothing, and almost-velvety layer over my skin when applied. All it took was one pump to dispense an adequate amount of product for the entire face.
Huxley’s Cleansing Oil is able to remove makeup easily, including stubborn ones like waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick. I am impressed by its cleansing efficacy; it is definitely one of the most effective cleansing oils that I’ve tried that’s able to remove tough makeup. But that’s not all. The product also leaves my skin feeling cleansed, moisturised, and supple. There’s no sense of dryness or tautness to my skin at all after I’ve rinsed it off.
Overall, Huxley’s Cleansing Oil offers a thorough cleanse without compromising on the sense of luxury in user experience. A worthy contender in the cleansing oil category? Definitely, yes.
