Social media platform TikTok has been the birthplace of many beauty trends and hacks, whether it is using excessive foundation to create a porcelain-like complexion or using root touch-up hair spray to create fake freckles, to name a few. And it’s also home to skincare experts, makeup gurus, and plastic surgeons on the beauty community side of the app known as #BeautyTok.
While there are plenty of weird and wonderful content, the most recent trending product is actually rather mainstream. We’re talking about the new KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm, which has received plenty of positive reviews on TikTok.
Just check out these before-and-after photos to know what we’re in for.
Now, this product is finally available in Singapore – read on to find out more about this trending product!
KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm
Everyone on TikTok’s going wild for this foundation and we can totally understand why.
Touted as a seriously high coverage foundation balm that is surprisingly lightweight on the skin, many TikTokers have taken to reviewing and sharing their first impressions — many of which were positive.
Infused with apple extract (hence the name), this foundation nourishes your skin while minimising the appearance of pores for a smooth, flawless and soft-matte finish.
It’s even said to be non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores and cause those little oil bumps or worse, breakouts. Another win!
If you’re hoping that it smells like the fruit… unfortunately it does not. But being unscented, it means that this foundation’s great if you have sensitive skin or just generally avoid fragrance in your products.
Why TikTokers love it
Makeup shows up differently on camera versus in real life. If you’ve ever attempted to make a before vs after makeup transformation TikTok, only to be greeted with your scarily white face on your screen, you’ll know what we mean.
Makeup flashback refers to the white cast that appears on your skin thanks to the intense light from flash or a ring light. And what do you know, the Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm is flashback-free so it turns out super well on camera.
Besides that, it’s also been said to be very blendable with a creamy texture, and incredible coverage in one swipe.
Here’s what these beauty TikTokers have to say about the foundation that’s sold out almost everywhere:

@nicholajmakeupNON-sponsored makeup artist review! #nicholajmakeup #kvdgoodapple #kvdgoodapplefoundation #kvdfoundation♬ Aesthetic – Jimmy Flatting
@nicholajmakeup couldn’t stop raving about the foundation, seeing as it covered even her a particularly angry, red zit and gave her a very natural sheen. As with any full coverage foundation, we always harbour the worry that it’ll feel heavy or cakey, but she describes it as very light and almost serum-like.

“It doesn’t look like foundation, it looks like skin!” @ccclarke exclaimed. Besides the natural-looking finish of the foundation, she also put the foundation to a wear test sans powder and concealer, and it stayed on looking fresh the whole day.
Tips & tricks
Bear in mind that the Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm is oil-based, so if you’re looking for an oil-free product, this is not it.
That being said, if you’re worried about the shine, you can lightly dust some powder all over.

In her review, she stressed how important it was not to use too much product on the face, and that a little goes a long way.
@sleepyhead208 commented on the TikTok with a tip of her own: Set with powder then apply foundation and use eyeshadow primer to fill in the smile lines to prevent creasing over time.
