We’re familiar with mists that help to hydrate our skin instantly and set our makeup at the same time.
After two years of research and testing, homegrown and leading beauty and wellness spa brand, Mary Chia, introduces their latest product, a mist spray that promises to lift skin in just 10 minutes. But that’s not just the only benefit it claims to deliver – it also offers UV defence, hydration and regeneration of skin. This product is called MU. V.TIVATE and is positioned to be Mary Chia’s latest solution to help their consumers defy the effects of gravity on their skin.
How does it work?
The key ingredients of this new product are derived from plants’ stem cells, including the leaves of African Baobab tree, a plant known to live for 5,000 to 6,000 years because of its ability to conserve water and survive harsh and dry conditions. This extract is a great moisturiser to the skin and leaves a protective film so it can improve the skin’s suppleness, softness and lustre.
Another key ingredient is the extract of the red seaweed, an organism that survives in environments that are exposed to extreme UV radiation and hence offers natural UV-absorbing capability to protect the skin from photo-ageing.
The sea plant extract and celery extract in the formula are also rich in proteins, vitamins and antioxidant to boost the overall anti-ageing efficacy of the product.
Does it work?
We sprayed the mist on just one side of the face, and that side of the face instantly felt tighter. However, don’t expect to see a remarkable lift that makes your facial contour look lop-sided immediately. The lifting effect is subtle, giving the facial contour a gentle tightening effect such that fine lines become less visible.
However using the hydration measurement tool, Keith’s skin hydration level went from 36.5% to 59.9% right after application, offering a plumper and more supple appearance to the skin almost immediately.
