How to keep lip colour long-lasting

To keep your lips lasting as long and as comfortably as it could, preparation work is necessary. Starting with the night before, go to bed with a thick coat of your favourite lip balm or lip mask. This will ensure overnight hydration so that you will wake up with plump and moisturised lips.

The next step would be to exfoliate dry and dead skin from lips, so that your lip colour can apply more smoothly. It could be as simple as using a toothbrush to gently scrub the lips while you brush your teeth in the morning, or use lip scrubs such as those from Lush. You could even make a simple DIY lip scrub using brown sugar and olive oil.

By now you should be starting on your skincare and makeup process. But first, apply a layer of lip balm before you start on the routine. Try a cult favourite like Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
