- The beautician will then use a very small blade to create tiny strips by scratching off the top layer of skin, as thin as a strand of eyebrow hair, and then filling it with colour.
As you can probably guess, there may be redness and swelling around the eyebrow area after the procedure, but this is usually not a big deal if you adhere to proper after-care that the brow artist should brief you about, such as not scratching or scrubbing off the scabs that may form at your eyebrows. Most people will also have to go back for a touch-up treatment after about two to three weeks.
