Two months ago, we gave you a sneak preview to the hottest product range from Chanel that was going to hit town. We are talking about the Chanel Les Beiges range. You probably wouldn’t miss it with the huge advertisements and billboards featuring Gisele Bundchen that are splashed at prominent spots. And another reason why it’s so eye-catching is probably because this time, Chanel abandoned its signature black packaging for once and dressed the products in beige packaging.
With all that hype, we’ve decided to put the All-In-One Healthy Glow Cream and Healthy Glow Sheer Powder to the test, and tell you if its worth your buck.
Is Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Cream good?
In two shades, No. 10 and No. 20, the All-In-One Healthy Glow Cream is a foundation that works like a BB cream. The texture and coverage is similar to the Chanel Le Blanc Fluid Foundation. Just like other Chanel products, it also comes with a light scent that’s very pleasant.
I’m impressed with how easily it can be blended onto the skin to give a subtle glow and sufficient coverage. The result is a very natural-looking radiance without the artificiality of a “pearly sheen” that many foundations tend to give in order to recreate the appearance of a glow.
This way, it looks like the glow comes from my skin, and not the foundation, and I absolutely love the effect. See the photos in this article – all I’m wearing is the Healthy Glow Cream and Sheer Powder and I think you can see a glow that probably won’t be so apparent if I had been bare-faced. The formula is also long-lasting. I wore it for an outdoor brunch and it didn’t budge at all.
This beauty cream also carries SPF30, PA+++ and antioxidants to give additional skincare benefits to the skin.
How about the Healthy Glow Sheer Powder?
The Sheer Powder comes with a half-moon brush that follows closely to my facial contours, so I find it very easy to use. The only thing is that I think the bristles are slightly stiff, and I’d have loved it more if they were softer.
Featuring a velvet-like texture, the powder comes in seven shades and can be used either alone or on top of foundation to set it. In the photos in this article, I’ve applied it on top of the Healthy Glow Cream, and it helped to make the makeup look more matte and pores less visible. When used alone, it gives little coverage and evens out the skin tone. I don’t think I like the effect of it alone compared to with the Glow Cream, so I’m likely to use them together, and perhaps bring the Sheer Powder along for touch ups.
