You don’t need much to perk yourself up, or to make a statement on an otherwise mundane day. Sometimes, all you need is a killer lipstick.
Although everyone appreciates a lipstick on a bargain, it’s always great to treat ourselves with an incredibly good lipstick once in a while. If you’re on a hunt for one, look no further. Guerlain’s new range of KissKiss lipsticks may just be it.
The KissKiss line has been reformulated and repackaged. Its formula is enriched with mango butter that ensures hydration and a soft, velvety feel to the lips. It retails for SGD 49, and comes in 25 – yes, 25 – shades!
What Do We Think?
It. Is. Amazing.
You know how they say, find a partner who is great on the inside and out? That’s just how it is with the Guerlain KissKiss lipstick!
First up, the lust-worthy packaging. When I saw it, held it, and felt it in my hands for the first time, I was speechless. It’s black with Guerlain’s signature “GG” logo engraved at the top of the lipstick tube. The ridges make it look very unique because there aren’t many lipsticks that look like that.
Secondly, the lipstick itself is incredibly buttery and pigmented. It’s very moisturising and for the darker colours, it stains the lips even after having a drink or a meal. The lipstick glides on ever-so-smoothly on the lips and it’s very comfortable to wear. It has a faint scent, but it’s nothing strong and it disappears after a while.
The colour I’m wearing is in 341 Peach Fizz. I was quite skeptical about it as I personally feel like I don’t suit many coral colours. But surprisingly I think this looked great on me! I wore it out later in the evening for Hari Raya visiting and I got many compliments for it.
What We Love
- The packaging. Who wouldn’t?
- The formula: Smooth, buttery, moisturising and pigmented
- The colour range: You can find literally any colour in the collection that can suit your personality, or if you are looking for a lip colour specifically for work, a date, an event or occasion, girls’ day out etc. The colours range from nudes, to corals, to pinks to bright reds. You’re sure able to find one that you like!
What We Don’t Love
- The price. At SGD 49 a bullet, it’s a hefty amount to pay for a lipstick. But like we said earlier, we need to spoil ourselves with a good lipstick once in a while!
If you’re looking to splurge on a lipstick from a luxury brand, be sure to have the Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick on your list. Who needs guns when you can have a lipstick bullet – every woman’s weapon of lethal seduction.
