urban decay summer collection 2015

Urban Decay is synonymous with “rebellion” and the upcoming Summer collection shows us why. Purple blusher, a lip gloss named “Kinky” and eyeshadows with insane payout are the reason.

The new blush collection offers nine shades, ranging from colours like “Fetish” (a medium pink-nude shade) that looks “approachable” enough for you to try, to loud shades of purple (Bittersweet), pink (Quickie) and red-orange (Bang) that are surprisingly not that hard to wear too.

I love the gunmetal compact that comes with a fishnet cutout on the lid that says “UD” – there’s something really badass about this packaging that makes me feel like a rebel in black leather jacket as I use it. The practical aspect about the cutouts is that you get to see the colour without opening the compact – something that I appreciate very much.

Offering a soft, creamy texture, these blushers are buildable in intensity, and carries light-diffusing pigments so skin looks more refined. They retail at SGD39 each.

Revolution High-Color Lipgloss

These lip glosses remind me of lighters, but apparently, that’s not the inspiration. The inspiration is, in fact, a vintage cult-favourite Urban Decay lip gloss. While the packaging is a tribute to a classic, the colours are definitely updated. Available in 14 shades, the Revolution High-Color Lipgloss offers long-standing favourites like 69 and Big Bang, but also new colours that fans have never seen before. Try out Failbait (light neutral pink), if you want something safe, but if you’re adventurous, go for Apocalypse (deep purple-wine) or Savage (electric pink).

The texture of these lip glosses is creamy and hydrating, while they’re highly-pigmented. They also make your pout look fuller and juicier. The Revolution High-Color Lip Gloss retails at SGD33 each.

Eyeshadow

In eight new shades, the Urban Decay Eyeshadow singles offers six duo-tones and two matte neutrals in its line-up. The colours already look so gorgeous in the pan, I can’t stop ogling at them. The ones you should check out: Lounge (brick red with green shift) and Tonic (lilac with blue shift).

These eyeshadow feature Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System that helps the eyeshadow to glide on smoothly, while ensuring that they stay on the lids for a long time. These are available at SGD30 each.

Besides these, the Summer ’15 collection also carries the Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil, which is essentially primer in pencil form. In clear shade, it can be used on the lips to keep lipstick intact, and around the eyes to make sure there’s no eye makeup fallout. The Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil retails at SGD25.

Urban Decay products are available at all Sephora stores, and the summer collection will be available from 11 June 2015.
