Face it – while we spend a lot of time tapping away on our phones and laptops, we usually find it difficult to pick up our phone to make a call to book a last minute hair or nail appointment. Somehow, it makes it hard for multi-taskers with busy schedules like us to do so!
Thanks to technology, apps like Vaniday have been created for us to book the service we want right at our fingertips. I got the opportunity to try it for myself and I’ll take you through my experience and thoughts on the whole process!

1. Go online and find the salon or salon you are looking for

There are over 800 hair salons, nail salons, spas and many others that you can choose from! I wanted to make an appointment at Kim Robinson so I searched for “Kim Robinson” and was directed to www.vaniday.com.sg/kimrobinson to make my online booking.

2. Pick your preferred service

I picked the service I wanted and it brought me to the dates and timings that were available for me to make my appointment.

3. Pick your preferred timing

4. Make your payment online

5. Booking secured!

It took me less than five minutes to secure a booking. A couple of minutes later I received a reminder text of my appointment.

I also received a call from Vaniday as the timing I chose was a tad too early and that the salon accepts their first customer at 10am. How efficient! It’s great so that you’re able to reschedule just in case you can’t make it at the time they suggested as compared to the timing that you initially chose.

6. Show up, smile and enjoy your session!

Upon arrival at the salon, all I had to do was say hello to the counter staff at Kim Robinson and got my hair cut, washed and styled!

Booking using the Vaniday App

It works the same as on the web – just in an App format for your phone. The Vaniday App is available on iOS and Android.

Overall Thoughts

It was really easy and fuss-free. Because you have to pay the session online, all you have to do is show up and enjoy your session! However, I would recommend booking a salon or service that you’re very familiar with. That’s because if you went to a salon or service you’ve never gone to/tried before, you may or may not enjoy the service. If it’s the latter, then you could end up spending your money on a service you didn’t enjoy at all.
