Many are under the impression that, “The more expensive the item, the better it is.” That’s not entirely true! There are cheaper alternatives available that are on par or almost as good as a product that can cost three times more! (For example, the amazing Daiso nail polish remover that we tried and compared some time ago that was better than a more branded one!) Here are 15 awesome makeup products that you can get under SGD15.
Note: You will find that some of the products come from the same brand. That’s because the particular brand comes up with affordable and amazing makeup products!

- Where To Get Them?
1. NYX Megashine Lipgloss
These lipglosses are incredibly pigmented and not only that, it smells like candy and it’s not sticky! Say goodbye to the hair-getting-stuck-on-lips fiasco!
2. Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer
This concealer is a cult favourite in the beauty community. Rightfully so, because at SGD14.90, you get a concealer that blends easily and has great coverage.
3. Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Primer
This is a basic eyeshadow primer that you can try if you’re new to eye makeup. It keeps your eyeshadow in place and it makes your eyeshadow look more vibrant.
4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now. But some of them can be quite costly. Also, because most of them are long-wearing lip products, it can dry out the lips. The NYX Soft Matte Lip creams provide you with the texture of a liquid lipstick with high pigmentation sans the dry lips. However, be ready to reapply the product throughout the day since it doesn’t claim to be long wearing. They also smell like vanilla or butter biscuits!
5. Essence Lip Liners
If you’re not a big lip liner user, and you want to get into it, get your hands on these lipliners from Essence. They’re very creamy and pigmented, and they get the job done. Yes, they only cost SGD2.50.
6. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
This is also a cult favourite in the beauty community. Unfortunately Rimmel is not available in Singapore drugstores (Watsons, Guardian, BHG) and is only available online. Depending on where you purchase them, the price of the product ranges between SGD10-15. The powder really does the job of mattifying the face and setting all the cream products on your face. At SGD13, it’s definitely a steal!
7. Wet N Wild Eyeshadows
At SGD8.90, you really get more than what it’s worth. Despite some fallout from the eyeshadows, they are incredibly pigmented and easy to blend. The eyeshadow trio in “Walking on Eggshells” is a highly-raved one, with many saying that the lid colour is a dupe for MAC’s eyeshadow in Naked Lunch.
8. Silkygirl Lip Liner
For SGD9.90, it’s a retractable pencil and it’s incredibly pigmented. What more can you ask for?
9. Maybelline Babylips
For those of you who prefer a wash of colour on the lips as opposed to a head on lipstick, try the Maybelline Babylips. Not only are they moisturising, some of the “flavours” come with subtle pigmentation that tints your lips. Again, they smell really good too!
10. LA Girl Pro Conceal
Another great concealer is the LA Girl Pro Conceal. It’s such an amazing product, that some professional makeup artists swear by this concealer. It’s pigmented, easy to blend and its quality rivals that of higher end concealers like the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer and MAC’s Pro Longwear concealer. Best part? It’s only SGD10.90!
11. Silkygirl Hi Definition Brow Liner
If you’re not willing to spend so much money on a brow product, try the Silkygirl Hi Definition Brow Liner. It’s a retractable pencil (Who has time to sharpen pencils nowadays, right ladies?) and it’s angled so that you can easily draw on “brow hairs” to fill in your brows. It also has a slightly waxy texture that ensures you don’t overdraw your brows. For SGD12.90, you get all of that AND a spoolie brush at the other end. It definitely offers great value for money.
12. Wet N Wild Blushes
These blushes cost SGD8.90 and makeup enthusiasts go crazy over them! It doesn’t just look pretty but is also very pigmented, so a little goes a long way. It can definitely last you a long time!
13. NYX Lipsticks (Round, Matte and Butter)
Almost all NYX lipsticks are amazing. The prices of their lipsticks range from SGD10-12 and you get really amazing quality.
14. Silkygirl Moisture Boost Lip Crayons
Lip crayons are very easy to use and they’re perfect for the girl on-the-go who wants a little bit more colour on the lips, instead of just a tinted lip balm. These lip crayons are not only moisturising, they’re pigmented too and they’re about SGD6-8 cheaper than the highly coveted Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.
15. NYX Blushes
Another NYX product (this is the last one, we promise!) because they’re that amazing for the price you pay for it. Their blushes cost SGD12 and again, just like the Wet N Wild blushes, they’re pigmented and blend beautifully. You can even find a colour that’s a cool-toned brown to use it as a contour or bronzer shade.
