Mask-wearing has become a part of our daily lives and is likely something that will not be changed anytime soon.

But if only we could look cuter while having that large, dishevelled mask over our faces. Well, we’ve discovered a new beauty hack that lets us achieve a V-shaped face while wearing a mask, and the difference it makes is shocking!

There’s no sculpting or dieting or surgical procedures needed – all you need are a couple of minutes and some tape. It’s too quick and easy not to try out.

Keep reading as we walk you through the whole process.

Step 1: Prepare your tools

Of course, the very first step is to prepare the tools you need for this hack:

  • A mask
  • Some double-sided tape
  • A pair of scissors

Step 2: Fold the mask in half

The next step is to fold your mask directly down the centre, where the mask is going to sit at the bridge of your nose.

Step 3: Locate the three folds on the mask

You know the folds on your mask where they expand to fit your face? Locate those three folds at the side of your mask.

Step 4: Cut out a piece of tape

Carefully cut out a small piece of double-sided tape. It should be about the size of a fingernail – you want this to fit the folds of the mask, which is why we asked you to locate them earlier.

If you’re unsure how long or short to make the tape, refer to the next step to get a better idea.

Step 5: Stick the piece of tape between the folds

Remember the folds you located? Place the tape at the edge between the first and third folds. You may want to adjust the length of the tape and trim it accordingly if it’s too long.

Step 6: Press down firmly

Take the top and bottom folds, press them together firmly, and make sure they don’t come apart easily.

Step 7: Repeat on the other side

Repeat steps three to six on the other side of the mask. Make sure you’ve done both sides using the same fold, because if it’s not symmetrical, it may look a bit odd.

Step 8: Put on your mask

All that’s left is to put your mask on, and voilà, you’ve achieved the V-shaped face of your dreams. This will make your face appear slimmer as it defines your jawline and chin for a youthful, feminine look.

As you can see, the difference is like night and day. The way the mask fits on the left looks messy and unkempt while the one on the right fits better and has an elegant feel to it.

A plus is that this hack also closes large gaps at the sides of the mask, allowing you to feel extra safe. We’re definitely going to keep doing it from now on so we can show off how good we look in our masks.
