Like it or not, brows are a thing that’s here to stay. Say your final goodbyes to the thin and unexciting brows of the ’90s because thick, bushy, and flamboyant is in.

If you thought that things can’t get any bigger and better than bushy brows, that’s where you’d be wrong.

These five new launches from the biggest beauty brands prove that beauty junkies everywhere aren’t done pushing the limits of their brow looks, so you better get with the programme before you miss the boat.

1. Benefit 3D BROWtones

Brow Trends Benefit Cosmetics 3d Browtones

Want to hop on to the coloured eye brow trend without going over the top? Benefit Cosmetics drew on their vast expertise with brows and came up with something that’s fun and colourful, but perfect for everyday wear!

Benefit took their award-winning brow highlighter and added a splash of colour, making it a must-have addition to any fun-loving beauty junkie’s vanity table.

The 3D BROWtones comes in four shades: magenta, deep blue, and rich purple for all our rainbow lovers out there, and a copper shade for days when you need to tone it down a notch.

Benefit 3D BROWtones retail for SGD42 each at Sephora and at Benefit counters island-wide.

2. Kat Von D Brow Collection

To say that this collection caught our eyes when we first received news of it was certainly an understatement. Kat Von D has been making a scene in the beauty industry with her rebellious streak from lips, to eyeliners, and now to brow pomades.

The collection will feature a mind-blowing variety of 16 shades in every funky colour you could possibly want to experiment with. Use a regular angled eye brush to apply, or use Kat Von D’s complementing Powder Brow Brushes.

Kat Von D Beauty 24-HR Super Brow Long-Wear Pomade retails for SGD29 each at Sephora, available in 16 shades.

3. Maybelline Tattoo Brow Ink Pen

At first glance you may think that this looks like a regular eyebrow pencil – but you need to look closer at its tip.

That’s right, the new Maybelline Tattoo Brow Ink Pen has a unique micro-fork tip applicator which is one of the best shapes to achieve a fuller-looking brow that still looks natural and not overly defined. Our editor tried it and received comments that her brows look micro-bladed!

4. K-Palette Limited Edition Floral Brow Tint

Brow tinting may scare some people, especially if you’re new to the whole thing, but a good brow tint applied well should never leave you looking like a cartoon character.

Cult favourite drugstore beauty brand K-Palette from Japan has now released their first ever Brow Tint! Their iconic brush is from the Kumano prefecture in Japan, famed for traditional brush craftsmanship, and also contains nourishing essences like Hyaluronic Acid, Swertia, and Japonica Extract.

For the beginners out there, the package also includes a brow drawing template to serve as your guide when you’re applying the tint for the first time.

Apply the tint generously on your brows and leave it on for as long as possible. It could feel dry in five minutes, but K-Palette recommends a minimum of two hours, and even overnight if you’d like your brow colour to last for a whole week!

K-Palette Limited Edition Floral Brow Tint is available in three shades: Light Brown, Natural Brown, and Mocha Brown. It retails for SGD23.90 at Watsons, Guardian and online at Beauty Carousel.

5. REALLYYY!? Eyebrow Extension

This crazy eyebrow innovation went viral when Vogue Korea posted an Instagram video on it late last year. You have to see it to believe it:

Unlike other brow products which just dispenses boring old colour pigments, the latest Eyebrow Extension product from Reallyyy!? instead dispenses extremely life-like strands of eyebrow hairs.

This is quite probably the first ever product of its kind with a formula like this, and lets you enjoy the most realistic-looking results without any of the pain or discomfort along with it!

The brush applicator is specially designed to pick up just the right amount of fibers, and the gel in which the fibers are held will dry down to a matte finish just five minutes after application. It even has a sweet floral scent that will make applying it a dream.

If you’re worried about the fibers falling out and looking unsightly all over the face, don’t worry. The formula is waterproof and is said to last all day, but removes easily with warm water.

The company recommends applying the gel fiber on to the back of your hand first and then adding one to two fibers at a time to your eyebrow for a more natural look. They’ve also recommended users not to over-apply the gel fiber as it will look unnatural. You can use other brow products before applying the gel fiber!

Reallyyy!? Eyebrow Extension retails for SGD27.90 at BHG, Don Don Donki, Metro Centrepoint, Robinsons, SaSa, Tokyu Hands, Watsons, and Welcia-BHG. From June 2018 onwards, it will also be available on Beauty Carousel.
