Making açaí bowls in your own home
We get it, most of these açaí bowls are more like occasional treats than something you can have on a daily basis. If you’re really dedicated to changing our diet and want to replace your sugar-laden breakfasts or desserts with açaí, but don’t want to bust your bank account at the same time, why not try making some of these açaí bowls at home?
Açaí berries oxidise very quickly after they are harvested, so they have to be freeze-dried in order to preserve their nutrients. As such, the actual berries are usually not found in their raw form on the market. Açaí berries are usually found in their organic powder or puree forms.
