They’ll question your endeavours and try to make you doubt your decision to shed the fat. Their words are some of the most potent psychological barriers you’ll have to hurdle over. It’s annoying, and there’s no way to avoid it.
What you can say: Play off the fact that your relatives are always asking you to get a boyfriend/get married/have a child. Use their words against them by saying: “You always ask me to get a partner/get married/have children, so I need to lose weight and be healthy before I can do it, right?”
That ought to keep them quiet.
