Fairytales will forever be a part of our childhood no matter how old we get. With all the fairytale-themed merchandise available, we think it’s pretty great that makeup companies didn’t forget about us beauty junkies! Recently, many makeup companies have created makeup collections based off of our favourite fairytales. Some of these limited edition collections get snagged really fast! Here are seven of our favourites!

1. Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass

The latest instalment to this list of fairytale themed collections is the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass palette. This palette has been highly-anticipated by beauty junkies and collectors because of its packaging and high quality and unique eyeshadow shades. Just look at it! This palette retails for SGD88 and is available at Sephora and Urban Decay standalone stores at Vivocity and Bugis Junction on 6 July – the same day as the Alice Through the Looking Glass film releases in cinemas!

If you’re collecting fairytale-themed items, we say this should definitely rank high on your must-buy list.

2.  K Palette x Alice in Wonderland

If you’re not really an eyeshadow type of girl and can’t spend that much money on the Urban Decay collaboration, perhaps this one by K-Palette would interest you (and your pocket!), especially since everyone should have a few eyeliners in their stash. The collection carries six designs featuring Disney’s Alice in Wonderland and shades, including three eyeliners and three eye pencils. The eyeliners retail at SGD21.90 and is available from Watsons, SaSa, Guardian, BHG, Robinsons, Zalora and www.beautycarousel.com.

3. OPI Alice Through The Looking Glass Collection

If you can’t get enough of Alice Through The Looking Glass collaborations, here’s another one. OPI has launched eight gorgeous limited-edition shades plus one bonus special edition nail lacquer. Each shade is available in both lacquer and GelColor formulas, so you’ll really be spoilt for choice.

These nail lacquers retail at SGD16 each, but you can consider duo packs that contain two nail lacquers that retail at SGD26 each.

4. Tinkerbell False Lashes

Who doesn’t want to be the little fairy from Peter Pan?! These Tinkerbell false lashes are by the brand House of Lashes. Unfortunately, they’re not available in Singapore. But you can try your luck purchasing them online.

5. Etude House Fairytale Collection

In case you missed it, Etude House launched a Disney Princess themed collection in 2014. Unfortunately for us, it’s no longer available for purchase :( It featured all the Disney Princess and each Disney Princess theme is matched to the range of products. So if your inner Disney Princess is Jasmine from Aladdin, then the products of your choice will not only be green (the colour theme for Jasmine), but the range of products would also allow you to create a Jasmine-inspired makeup look as well! Given how affordable the products are, it’s probably the easiest, most affordable way anyone could transform into a princess.

6. MAC Cinderella Collection

Out of all the themed collections that MAC has come up with, this one was the most sought after. Besides its easy-to-love packaging, this collection also had many wearable shades that would be easy and useful to have in a makeup kit. While the limited edition collection is no longer on sale, there are still many collectors who are looking for them and willing to buy them. One of the items in this collection that people still search and are willing to pay a lot for is the Reflects Pearl Glitter.

7. ELF Disney Elsa Collection

This comprehensive palette from ELF is part of its collaboration with Disney’s Frozen. Again, it’s not available in Singapore but you can try your luck getting this collection online if you’re a huge Frozen fan!

8. MAC Maleficent

The most recent fairytale/Disney collaboration that MAC has done was when the movie Maleficent premiered. Unlike Cinderella, the theme of this collection was rather dark and vampy, to suit Maleficent’s dark nature. Its gorgeous packaging and sultry (but still wearable) colours make this another series that collectors would want to get their hands on.
