Clay masks, sheet masks, and now, jelly masks! It seems like every brand is stepping up their game, and that includes Annie Wu, founder of Annie’s Way.

Annie'sWay 1

Founded in 2000, the brand’s signature jelly masks use natural ingredients that benefits the skin, like aloe, lavender, hyaluronic acid and arbutin.

What does the mask do?

Generally, all of the masks help to whiten, moisturise and tighten the skin. It also has properties that can help soothe acne-prone skin. Attributed to its application and removal process, the jelly mask helps to minimise pores and remove blackheads and other impurities that sit on the skin! All of that by just jelly – now that’s pretty darn cool!

Just one general mask for every one?

Definitely not! The Annie’s Way jelly masks come in 10 different types that serves its own purpose.

How to use the jelly mask?

If you thought the answer was to slather the jelly all over the face, you’re actually right!

Annie's Way 4

Apply a generous amount of the jelly mask onto cleansed and toned skin using the spatula that’s provided with the mask. Leave it on for 30 minutes and scrape it off with the spatula starting from the outer part of the face, working your way to the inner part of the face.

Annie's Way 5

Leaving the mask on for 30 minutes will allow the jelly to soften the blackheads and impurities, which will allow it to be easily removed by scraping the jelly mask away. Start scraping gently first, and apply a bit more pressure at the areas where you feel that there are blackheads, or any other impurities on the skin.

Once you’ve scraped all the jelly off, rinse your face with water and apply your moisturiser.

How often should I use the mask?

It’s recommended that you use it twice a week. However, it really depends on your skin type. For those with sensitive skin, start with once a week, and leave the mask on for 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Once you feel more comfortable with it, feel free to leave it on for longer!
