Have you ever met someone who doesn’t have a lot of makeup on, but there’s just something that makes her glow? It’s probably her skin that is most likely clean, bright and plump with moisture.
We’ve round up a series of newest products in the market that promises to help us achieve just that – from serums, masks, sleeping packs, to even a DD cream. Curious? Read on for more!
1. Laneige White Renew Plus Esssence
What it promises: Reduce dark spots, the enemy of bright skin
Where you can find it: All Laneige boutiques and counters from March 2016 at SGD80
The Laneige White Renew Plus Essence uses twice the amount of truffle yeast extracts than its predecessor, the Original Essence_EX. Truffle yeast extracts helps stimulate the production of lysosomes, molecules that digest melanosomes and encourage the self-degradation of melanin, both responsible for the appearance of dark spots. Who knew truffle could be awesome in something other than in our fries?
2. For Beloved One Melasleep Brightening Daily Defence (DD) Cream
What it promises: Helps to keep pollutants away from your skin, and prevents clogging of skin while acting as a foundation and sunscreen
Where you can find it: Exclusively at Sephora outlets island-wide at SGD53
With its multiple benefits, this product promises to let you sleep in 30 minutes more every morning by reducing the number of steps in your beauty regime. Apart from being a foundation and sunscreen, the DD cream consists of a revolutionary ingredient, Purisoft LS 9602, which isolates pollutants by forming a barrier upon the skin to keep them out. Hailing from Taiwan, For Beloved One Melasleep Brightening Defence (DD) Cream is available at all Sephora store.
3. Innisfree Whitening Pore Sleeping pack
What it promises: Heal your skin as you sleep, and help especially in pore care
Where you can find it: All Innisfree outlets island-wide starting 1st March 2016 at SGD30
Infused with six types of citrus flavonoid from freshly-squeezed organic tangerine peels, which is rich in vitamins to accelerate the cell turnover process, this leave-on sleeping pack will help you achieve spotless, radiant skin while you catch up on your beauty sleep. On top of inhibiting melanin production like most brightening products, this also purifies and tightens to further improve the appearance of your complexion.
4. La Mer The Perfecting Treatment
What it promises: Your day and night skin solution that doubles up as a primer
Where you can find it: All La Mer counters from March 2016 at SGD370
For those who get frustrated by the many products you have to use, La Mer promises to be a multi-tasker that helps you heal while covering up blemishes with The Perfecting Treatment. For a luminous glow and velvety finish in the night or day, apply The Perfecting Treatment before your moisturiser. Using a marine ferment that strengthens skin, it will help your skin boost its natural collagen, resulting in smaller pores, and a smoother and suppler skin. If you’re using makeup, apply it before foundation as the perfect primer; with its light-diffusing technology, it optically blurs out pores and fine lines to create the appearance of clear, flawless skin.
5. Fresh Beauty Peony Brightening Foam Face Cleanser
What it promises: Brighten skin, remove impurities, and protect against environmental aggressors
Where you can find it: Fresh’s boutiques at ION Orchard and Raffles City, and all Sephora outlets island-wide from March 2016 at SGD64
We love how Fresh always uses natural ingredients in its products, and the Peony Brightening Foam Face Cleanser is no different. Getting rid of impurities is important in achieving unclogged pores, and this further enhances the brightening effect of the product with peony root extract, which has been revered for its brightening ability. Peony root extract is also an anti-oxidant that helps fight against the effects of pollution in the environment.
6. Laura Mercier Soft Luminous Foundation
What it promises: Cover flaws while you’re in the process of helping your skin heal
Where you can find it: Available at all Laura Mercier counters and Sephora outlets starting March 2016, retail price to be advised
We are all impatient creatures. While waiting for your skin to heal, Laura Mercier’s Soft Luminous Foundation helps give you the look of luminous skin, with its formula that recreates the illuminating effect of candle glow in any light. The refreshing purified water in its formula also gives the skin a burst of hydration that helps it glide onto your skin for lasting smoothness and a natural finish. The best part? 7. Chanel Le Blanc Intensive Whitening Spot Treatment: The Day & Night Duo
What it promises: Skin protection in the day and reparation at night
Where you can find it: Chanel beauty counters island-wide from 4 March 2016 at SGD134 (2 x 7ml)
This dual treatment from Chanel focuses on helping you protect your skin in the day, and repairing it at night while you have your beauty sleep. The day treatment, which contains geranium extract, stops the skin from producing tryptase (an enzyme in our skin that destroys collagen), and therefore regulate out skin’s pigmentation process. The night treatment uses apinia extract that helps to erase excess melanin and encourages smoother, brighter skin that is rid of dark spots.
8. Sothy HYDRA3HA Intensive Hydrating Serum
What it promises: Re-trains your skin to produce more hydration.
Where you can find it: Exclusively at all SOTHYS contract salons and dealer salons, including [email protected] at #02-33/34, Raffles Hotel Arcade, Body Inc at #05-20, Ngee Ann City, and Poly Beauty at #02-64, HarbourFront Centre. Retail price to be advised.
This range of products from SOTHYS is formulated with 1055 Boletus extract and low molecular weight hydraulic acid, which intensely moisturises and regenerates the skin. At the same time, it re-trains our skin to optimise its own hydration through stimulating trans-epidermis water flow and the expression of the skin’s hydration gene. This product is targeted at keeping our skin from sagging around the face and neck only, so avoid contact with the surrounding eye area.
