Oh, be still, our beating hearts! The latest products that the beauty world has to offer is setting our hearts a-fluttering. They look so pretty, we would happily invite them into our lives even if they were merely eye candies. Thankfully (or not so thankfully for our wallets), these have both beauty and brawn. These are the five we can’t stop gushing about:
1. Chanel Signe Particulier Exclusive Creation
Beauty: Of the Rouge Noir Absolument, Chanel’s Holiday 2015 Makeup Collection, the most exquisite product is probably the Signe Particulier Exclusive Creation. Featuring Chanel’s iconic quilted surface, this eyeshadow palette carries four eyeshadow shades that have gorgeous, intense colours that any makeup addict will lust after.
Brawn: Apply the shades on its own or according to your own interpretation – the wearable colours make it a breeze to do so. Otherwise, try these instructions: put the satiny rose beige under the brow bone to illuminate the eyes, the velvety parma violet at the inner corners of the eyes to boost radiance, use the deep rouge shade at the outer corner of the eyelids to enhance your eye shape, and just a touch of the gold at the centre of the eyelids for some glitz and glamour. You’ll love the palette’s versatility and its long-lasting wear too.
The Signe Particulier Exclusive Creation (SGD96), together with the rest of Chanel’s Holiday 2015 collection (limited edition), will be available from 16 October 2015 at all Chanel counters and boutique.
2. Anna Sui Loose Face Powder N
Beauty: We can’t get enough of the black transparent cap that is covered with the Anna Sui signature rose motifs, and the gorgeous purple puff that looks oh-so-opulent.
Brawn: This finishing powder comes in three shades: purple lucent, light beige, and natural beige, to offer radiance, translucency, and an airbrushed effect respectively. You can pat this on top of your makeup to offer a more flawless-looking finish. It is also fortified with active ingredients that have moisturising and astringent effect on the skin, which means that your skin will look more hydrated and your pores appear more refined.
The new Anna Sui Loose Face Powder N retails at SGD65 at all Anna Sui counters.
3. Urban Decay Vice4
Beauty: These 20 gorgeous eyeshadow shades encased in an extra slim metallic case took our breath away. When closed, the prints on the case resemble a psychedelic web, and when you open it, you’ll be greeted with neat rows of colours ranging from mattes and metallics to glitter. It also comes with a coordinating bag and a double-ended Shadow and Crease brush that any beauty junkie would covet.
Brawn: The eyeshadows don’t just look good, but are also created with the Urban Decay Pigment Infusion System, which allows colours to weave themselves through the formula. What this means is that you’ll be able to achieve strong colour payoff, seamless blendability, smooth and velvety finish, and makeup that stays on for a long time.
The Urban Decay Vice4 will retail at SGD88 and be available at all Sephora stores and at the new Urban Decay Free Standing Stores at VivoCity and Bugis (opening October 2015).
4. Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine
Beauty: We love the sleek appearance of this lipstick, topped with a transparent cap that reveals the goodness that’s within. This lipstick is available in 12 vivid colours, ranging from reds and corals, to pinks and purples, all of which offering you (eye) candy kisses.
Brawn: This balm stick features Shu Uemura’s second generation hybrid pigment, which offers strong colours while retaining transparency. Inspired by the effects of the stained glass, it also gives a glowing finish without compromising on comfort to wear.
The Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine will retail at SGD33 and be available at all Shu Uemura counters and boutique from 1 October 2015.
5. Etude House Bling Me Prism Eyes
Beauty: Working with trendy Korean accessories brand, High Cheeks, Etude House presents the Bling Me Prism collection with products that feature pop-art graphics that look super fun and adorable. We are particularly taken by the Bling Me Prism Eyes that sees clear bottles to show off the five gorgeous eyeshadow shades you can choose from, and metallic caps with funky prints.
Brawn: The water-base eyeshadow cream has a non-sticky and long-lasting texture. You’ll also like that the pigment has an iridescent effect that keeps things interesting. It is available in colour rangeing from wearable to bold.
The Etude House Bling Me Prism collection is available at all Etude House stores, and the Bling Me Prism Eyes retail at SGD17.90 each.
