There’s nothing as exciting as when a well-loved cult product range gets a facelift or expansion.
That’s why we were super stoked this month when we got not just one, but six expansion packs for our favourite skincare products around. From facelifts to new additions to an already bestselling range, you’ll have more to love with old but gold collections.
1. Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence
Fresh’s range of Black Tea skincare products has been super popular despite their price tags. The Black Tea complex developed by Fresh is designed to harness the power of black tea, as well as blackberry leaf and lychee seed extracts, for their anti-oxidant actions.
Kombucha is actually fermented sweet black tea, and apparently often referred to as the “Immortal Health Elixir”. It can help to deactivate pollutants irritating your skin every day, and it neutralises free radicals that slows down the ageing they cause.
Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence retails at SGD108 at Fresh boutiques (ION Orchard #B3-46 and Raffles City #01-43) and at Sephora.
2. L’Oréal Paris X Balmain Color Riche Lipstick
The L’Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks have been a drugstore staple for years and years, so when we found out that L’Oreal was collaborating with Balmain for limited edition additions to this iconic line of lippies, we were stoked, to say the least.
The set of 12 lipsticks are a limited edition design specially created by Olivier Rousteing, the Creative Director of Balmain. He envisioned a bold, edgy collection that empowered women and celebrated beauty in diversity, femininity, and self-expression.
L’Oréal Paris X Balmain Color Riche Lipstick retails for SGD28 each, or SGD112 per set of 4. It is available on Zalora.
3. Benefit The POREfessional: Pearl Primer
Benefit’s The POREfessional Primer has been everyone’s holy grail for many years now, and now they’ve recently released a variation of this bestseller. The new Pearl Primer range will still retain the pore-minimising power of its predecessor, but adding luminosity and a brightening effect into its formula.
Texture-wise, The POREfessional: Pearl Primer is similar to the classic, being oil-free, lightweight, and silky smooth when applied to the skin. An absolute must-have for those with enlarged pores and dull-looking skin!
Benefit The POREfessional: Pearl Primer retails at SGD21 (7.5ml) and SGD54 (22ml) at all Benefit Cosmetics boutiques and counters, and at Sephora.
4. L’Occitane Le Cherry Blossom Jumbo Crayon Perfume
You know it’s sakura season when you start to whiff L’Occitane’s iconic Cherry Blossom scent everywhere. This year, the daintily beautiful range is receiving two additions to its number, with the Le Cherry Blossom Jumbo Crayon Perfume and the Le Cherry Blossom EDT.
Most people wouldn’t bring their perfume bottles around with them, so what happens when you feel like you need to recharge your fragrance? The Le Cherry Blossom Jumbo Crayon is perfect for situations like this – spray on the Le Cherry Blossom EDT in the morning, and touch up your scent with the very portable perfume crayon pen in your makeup pouch!
L’Occitane Le Cherry Blossom Jumbo Crayon Perfume retails for SGD25 (2.5g) at all L’Occitane stores.
(Psst, you can check out other cherry blossom-inspired products in our earlier article!)
If you have had to deal with stretch marks, scars, and uneven skin tone, chances are you would have heard of Bio-Oil at some point. The drugstore staple has many people swearing by its efficacy in visibly lightening scars, preventing stretch marks (especially in the case of pregnant mothers), and – wait for it – even being an effective makeup remover and moisturiser!
Now, Bio-Oil is changing only what’s on the outside, and keeping their popular formula exactly the same. The new packaging instills modernity into a classic design, and reflects the way Bio-Oil continues to remain a well-loved skin solution even as time passes.
Bio-Oil retails for SGD15.50 (60ml), SGD25.90 (125ml), and SGD35.90 (200ml). It can be found at all leading pharmacies, personal care stores and selected hospitals.
6. Astalift Night Charge Cream
Anti-ageing has taken a leap forward. Astalift’s Night Charge range has received a power boost with a new ingredient added shown to slow ageing by as much as 3.7 times!
The Astalift Night Charge range now contains the Oenothera Biennis Seed extract that boasts antioxidant properties to increase the final mixture’s potency by up to 3.7 times stronger. It wards off the damaging effects of free radicals, helps skin rejuvenation and healing, and protects against oxidative stress from the sun’s UV rays.
Astalift Night Charge Cream retails for SGD118 (30g) at Astalift retailers at NEX (#01-70), Wisma Atria (#03-30), and JEM (#01-20).
7. For Beloved One Flawless Brightening Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Series
It’s not just a facelift, For Beloved One is changing up their entire whitening line! From April this year, the well-loved skincare brand will be discontinuing their Melasleep Whitening Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Series in favour of a new and revolutionary way of brightening skin.
The upcoming Flawless Brightening Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Series will be harnessing the power of Vitamin C to add zest and glow to your skin.
