There have been many “measures of beauty” you might have heard about. Previously, thigh gap (where your thighs can’t touch each other even when you keep them as close as possible) was what defined beauty.
Then came the bikini bridge (where there’s a space at the abdomen, created by bikini bottoms suspending on top of hip bones).
More recently, we noticed two more new trends circulating online that tried to define beauty. Enter the belly button challenge (use one of your hands, go around the back and turn it to the front to touch your belly button). Do it successfully and you earn bragging rights on social media.
And just as we thought there aren’t enough things to keep us on our toes, the collarbone challenge (to put as many coins as you can within the gap formed by your collarbones) started making its rounds on social media.
Now, I do not understand how any of these became a yardstick for beauty, but I’m feeling indignant because I can’t do any of the above-mentioned. But there’s one thing I could do and the team at Daily Vanity decided that it is actually a great way to measure level of cuteness!
Everyone, here’s the Daily Vanity Dimple Challenge – the new measure of cuteness. The larger the coin you can hold using your dimple, the cuter you will be considered.
Let’s see how I fare.
A Singapore 10-cent coin? Easy!
A 20-cent coin? No problem!
A 50-cent coin? It’s challenging… but since I’m really cute, I guess… YES!
Take the Daily Vanity Dimple Challenge and show off how cute you are. If you, like me, are cute enough to do this, post a photo of you doing it! Remember to tag us on Instagram (@dailyvanity) and enter the hashtag #DailyVanityDimpleChallenge.
We are waiting to gather all cute people!
A final word: We think the challenges that define beauty are bollocks and decided to start our own beauty “challenge” as a fun way to mock at other challenges.
