From gorgeous vintage-looking lipsticks to a stunning advent calendar, Dior never seems to put a foot wrong – and their latest New Look collection is no exception.
In this limited edition collection, Dior’s makeup and La Collection Privée fragrances are all dressed up in the House’s graphic and iconic print: the houndstooth check.
Honoured and adored, the houndstooth check is established as a permanent and inspiring Dior design code. Today, this pattern is reinvented and reinterpreted beautifully with the New Look collection.
“Christian Dior was one of the first to introduce this traditionally masculine fabric pattern into his infinitely elegant couture creations. This daring shift inspired me to create this limited edition makeup collection, the New Look collection,” Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, shares.
Rouge Dior (S)
Adored around the world for its gorgeous pop of colour, the Rouge Dior boasts a unique formula that’s infused with floral extracts. Plus, it sits comfortably on the lips all day.
Of course, we wouldn’t put it past Dior to be extra meticulous, which is why each lipstick bullet is also engraved with a houndstooth pattern and stamped with a signature Dior band at the centre.
In addition to Dior’s legendary reds, Peter Philips has also selected the most sought-after shades of today, from rosewoods to “milk tea” nudes. Here are all the Rouge Dior shades in the New Look collection:
- Velvet finish: 100 Nude Look, 720 Icône, 999
- Satin finish: 312 Incandescent
- Mettalic finish: 525 Chérie
- Matte finish: 772 Classic
Forever Couture Perfect Cushion (S5)
If you’re a collector of Dior’s Forever Couture Perfect Cushion, you’re in for a real treat. The cushion flaunts the New Look style with a modernised houndstooth case, featuring the Christian Dior logo band at the centre.
It comes in two finishes – luminous matte and dewy glow – and provides 24-hour wear and lasting hydration to keep your complexion looking fresh. The cushion also provides SPF 35 to shield your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
For this special edition, the Forever Couture Perfect Cushion is putting the spotlight on its most popular shades: 0N, 1N, and 2N in both finishes.
La Collection Privée fragrances (40ml, S5; 125ml, S5)
Last but certainly not least is Dior’s La Collection Privée fragrances. Three leading fragrances – Gris Dior, Lucky, and Jasmin des Anges – are decorated in the iconic pattern, which seems to take flight on each bottle. A few of its fine squares float free to add a modern, delicate touch to the design.
You can bring these scents along with you in the refillable travel spray (S$160) too. Each vial sports the colours of the New Look collection and comes protected in a pochette housed in a La Collection Privée presentation box, making it the perfect gift for any fragrance lover.
Dior New Look makeup collection will be available from 1 January 2022 at all Dior Beauty boutiques and counters, and on Dior Beauty Online Boutique from 3 January 2022. Fragrances are available exclusively from 1 January 2022 at La Collection Privée Christian Dior boutique in ION Orchard.
