In 2009, Etude House first opened its doors in Singapore and had 16 outlets across our little red dot. Fast forward to today, the brand has announced that it will be shutting its Bugis Junction outlet – the brand’s last physical store – on 24 February 2022.

Once the store has closed its doors, ETUDE members will no longer be able to redeem their ETUDE Sweet Points.

Apart from outlets in Singapore, the brand has also closed all its physical stores in China back in March 2021 after seven years of operations.

The beloved K-beauty label has reportedly been making losses for the past five years. The brand’s net equity “stood at minus 6.6 billion won after its total liabilities of 56.6 billion won exceeded its total assets of 49.9 billion won,” according to AmorePacific, ETUDE’s parent company.

It isn’t all doom and gloom, though. You can still find your favourite ETUDE products locally online via its website and e-commerce platforms, such as Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora.

Plus, there will be more fun collections coming our way. Take the brand’s latest collaboration, for example. ETUDE teamed up with Italian wafer brand Loacker to release a collection of makeup products, and we almost couldn’t tell the items apart from actual wafers. Check out the full collection here.
