Jamie Chua shared her perfume collection in a YouTube video recently and we get a rare glimpse into what she uses.

We have rounded up 12 scents she absolutely adores – and where you can shop them now.

Coco Eau de Perfume by Chanel

Coco Eau De Parfum Chanel (1)

Having used this perfume since she was a member of the Singapore Airlines cabin crew at 17, the Coco Eau de Perfume by Chanel holds deep memories for Jamie Chua. The Eau de Parfum opens with a citrus note of Sicilian Mandarin with floral touches of jasmine and ylang-ylang, introducing a provocative and mysterious trail best for colder temperatures due to its warm and slight spicy scent.

Tip: Speaking of heat, Jamie Chua speaks about the importance of spraying our perfume on the warmest parts of our body – the pulse points. These include the nape of the neck, the insides of our wrists as well as the insides of elbows. She also advises against rubbing our wrists together after to prevent interfering with the fragrance. All very good tips that we absolutely agree with!

Chanel Perfume Miniature Boxed Set

Jamie Chua also shared a set of mini perfumes of limited edition, Les Exclusifs de Chanel, comprising of 14 fragrances created between 1922 and 2016 by renowned perfumes, of which the N°19 and N°22 Eau de Parfum were highlighted.

N19 Chanel (1)

Exuding a harmonious blend of white and green florals, the N°19 carries a unique take on a combination of light fragrance with Rose and Iris heart notes and a smoky leather finish.

N22 Chanel (1)

The N°22 on the other hand gives off a sensual, seductive fragrance with a sense of delicate femininity, holding a tender similarity to the legendary N°5.

Chanel N°5 L’EAU

Chanel N°5 L'eau (1)

As a reinvented version for the modern-day woman, the N°5 L’EAU radiates citrus like sun-drenched honey with soft white musks notes. Its fresh melds of fruity and floral scents imparts a novel dynamism that can be worn all-day and night.

Jamie Chua purchased this variant as an experimental bottle having been a huge fan of the OG perfume since day one, but later on confessed that the N°5 is still her all-time favourite classic, which brings us to the next fragrance.

Chanel N°5 Eau de Parfum

Are we even surprised by the local socialite’s ultimate favourite? Perhaps this bears testament to the unprecedented success of the opulent fragrance that’s unlike any other in the market.

Chanel N5 Red Edition

Showing off her limited edition Chanel N°5 Red Edition, Jamie Chua divulged that she spritzes on this scent everyday and has used close to a hundred bottles of this iconic perfume. “During the Circuit Breaker, of course, I was not wearing perfume at home so you know,” she laughs, explaining, “[her bottles] got quite lonely, I think.”

This Eau de Parfum is composed of a variety of floral scents including jasmine, rose, iris, and ylang-ylang balanced with a modern shot of bourbon vanilla to rid of any overpowering sickening sweetness. Its pleasing aldehydic top note commands attention with grace.

All Chanel fragrances are exclusively available at Chanel Boutiques and counters at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, ION Orchard, Vivo City, Jem, and Raffles City.

Versace Atelier Versace Éclat de Rose

The luxury aficionado declared her love for roses with the Versace Atelier Versace Éclat de Rose, posing a thoughtful note for enthusiasts of this floral scent at the same time. She warns that with the many varieties of rose notes out there, she’s spent a lifetime hunting down the perfect rose perfume and yet, has not found the perfect one for her.

The Italian perfume emanates rich, velvety notes with specially hand-picked Moroccan Rose Centifolia complemented by Ambrox, a signature note that reveals facets of amber, incense, wood, tobacco, and musk. As part of a new line featuring six unisex scents, the Éclat de Rose stands out with its refreshing twist on the sweet floral take.

Gucci Bloom Eau De Parfum Spray

Gucci Bloom Eau De Parfum Spray

Stumbling upon this fragrance while she was filming the YouTube video, Jamie Chua tried some on and admitted that while this wasn’t her regular go-to scent, it certainly can make it to her list of favourites.

She Googled up the ingredients of this fragrance and mused, “Now I know why I love it, because it is a garden of flowers. This perfume is created to unfold like its name.”

The Gucci Bloom brings with it a powdery floral edge comprising of natural tuberose and jasmine notes, with the talk of white flowers garnering fervour from Jamie Chua who happens to love all white flowers.

Another luxury fragrance on the list, Des Lys by Annick Goutal is a delicate and airy scent, primarily made up of white lilies that unfold a fresh meadow of springtime blooms right before your eyes with every spritz. Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued.

This sent the socialite, who said she has been a big fan of the scent for many years, into a furious frenzy. She travelled the whole of Europe in search of whatever’s left on shelves. The self-proclaimed kiasu shopper managed to rack up 30 bottles of this perfume in her storage and still uses it till this day!

La Violette by Annick Goutal

La Violette By Annick Goutal (1)

With a scent completely devoted to violets, this perfume by Annick Goutal is fortunately still available in stores. Said to capture the scent of a springtime bouquet and candied flowers on a cake, the La Violette permeates a playful take with its bright balmy scent that reminds us of taking a refreshing stroll through a dream garden.

The La Violette retails at €125 (~S$203) for 100ml, and is available at GOUTAL Paris counters at TANGS Vivo City, Luxasia at Tai Seng, Escentials Paragon, and Escentials TANGS Orchard.

Rose Splendide by Annick Goutal

Rose Splendide By Annick Goutal (2)

Another perfume by Annick Goutal in her repertoire is the Rose Splendide Eau de Toilette. While she loves roses, she personally finds this scent unsuitable for her body, citing how it’s “too sweet” for her preference.

She also shares that on top of personal taste, another factor that affects how perfumes can be perceived includes the various possibilities in which a scent can turn out on different skins. Due to differences in body temperatures, hormones as well as pH levels, perfumes can develop to be quite different!

Tip: Considering a pricey fragrance? Request for a test-spritz and wait for a minimum of two hours prior to deciding. This allows the perfume to settle so you can fully experience all notes and find out how they fare on your skin!

The Rose Splendide Eau de Toilette retails at €125 (~S$203) for 100ml, available at GOUTAL Paris counters at TANGS Vivo City, Luxasia at Tai Seng, Escentials Paragon, and Escentials TANGS Orchard.

Iris de Sycracuse by Boucheren

Iris De Sycracuse By Boucheren

Although Jamie Chua doesn’t use this on her body due to the low moody notes this Eau de Parfum touts, she highly recommends this musky scent for the wardrobe, revealing a quirky habit of hers – she gives her extensive range of fashion pieces a little TLC by spraying them down with fragrances every now and then.

While most of us would think twice before using our perfumes on our clothes, the online personality even goes as far as matching the category of clothing to the mood her scents radiate.

The Iris de Sycracuse by Boucheren retails at £189 (~S$339) for 124ml, available at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Tom Ford Café Rose

Tom Ford Cafe Rose

Warm, glamorous, and woody. These are the words Jamie Chua used to describe the Tom Ford Café Rose which is her go-to spritz for the evening gown section of her wardrobe. With a blend of sandalwood, black pepper and coffee, you can expect this Eau de Parfum to exude masculine energy on top of the earthy textures from the amber and saffron notes.

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet would make a charming addition to any vanity table, and we’re not just talking about the elegant bottle this peony infused scent is housed in. At the heart of this perfume lies the Damascus rose accord honed by a radiant Calabrian bergamot with hints of white musk, making it a playful day time fragrance.

Jamie Chua shares that she sprays this particular perfume in her pretty dresses section.

Available at Sephora in three different sizes, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet retails at S$196 for 100ml.

Brume Du Matin Fragrance Du Bois

Brume Du Matin Fragrance Du Bois (1)

“I really like this but I remember when I bought it, I found it really expensive,” Jamie Chua admitted while bringing up the Brume Du Matin Fragrance Du Bois.

While she doesn’t remember how much it was anymore, she recalled that she needed to do a “two-hour test” before making this purchase decision.

“I had to walk around for a couple of hours before I decided if I want to spend my money on it.”

Oh well, she got the bottle anyway despite the lofty price tag – which tells you how much she must have liked it! This unisex fragrance opens with hints of citrus mandarin and bergamot before delving into fruit accords including peach and plum notes, joined by the delicate scent of jasmine, rose, and violet. With creamy undertones completing it, this scent has both depth and breadth, making it suitable for a vast variety of occasions.
