The word is out: Poppy Delevingne is the inaugural Jo Malone London Girl.
The model, designer and fashion influencer, who is also a British Fashion Council Ambassador, now adds “face of Jo Malone” to her accolades. Poppy Delevingne says that she has been wearing Jo Malone’s Red Roses since she was 22, and her affinity with the brand doesn’t just end there; the first thing that drew her to her husband, James Cook, was his scent, and when she asked what he wore, it was Amber & Lavender, another of Jo Malone’s classics. It goes without saying that her wedding and home are scented with Jo Malone’s scents too.

Can you remember when and how you first discovered Jo Malone London and what you liked about it?
I started wearing Red Roses when I was 22. I smelt it on a friend of mine, loved how gentle and sweet it was, and begged her to tell me what it was. The very next day I was at Jo Malone London buying my own bottle.
It was at the same time that I met my now husband James. The first thing that drew me to him was his scent. When I asked him what it was he said, Amber & Lavender by Jo Malone London. I saw that as a sign.
He still wears it now and whenever I travel without him, I take a small bottle with me.

Do you have a favourite Jo Malone London scent and can you tell us why you love it?
Now my favourite scent from Jo Malone London is Tuberose Angelica. It has an essence of Red Roses to it, but is muskier and sexy. It is like I have grown up.
What drew you to working with Jo Malone London?
When the opportunity came up to work with Jo Malone London, I leapt at the chance. It is a brand which has been a part of my life for a long time and I have always loved it. It’s British like I am, and there is something infinitely special and quirky about it.
What will your role entail?
I will be Jo Malone London’s best friend. It is really not a stretch for me to talk about these fragrances and to share them with all my friends because they are genuinely part of my life. This is the beginning of a relationship and I look forward to working with Jo Malone London on all sorts of new opportunities… watch this space.
