Say it isn’t so! Japanese cosmetics brand KATE Tokyo will be making its full exit by 30 June 2022.

According to the official press release, “The decision to withdraw is part of the strategic efforts of KAO Singapore to streamline operations and focus on core skincare brands including suisai, freeplus, Curel, Allie as well as prestige brands, KANEBO and est.”

kate tokyo exits singapore products

The label first debuted in Singapore under Kao Singapore Pte Ltd 12 years ago and cumulated plenty of fans over the decade. We fell in love with their selection of practical eye makeup, such as its ultra-thin liners and brow formulas. KATE Tokyo’s complexion products were our go-tos as well.

The brand is currently retailing at Watsons, Don Don Donki, Welcia-BHG, Lazada, and Shopee, but will gradually withdraw from stores, so we suggest picking up your faves from there fast!

That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to find their products elsewhere once they’ve exited Singapore, though. You can still purchase KATE Tokyo products from e-tailers like YesStyle and Kokoro Japan.
