Every year L’Occitane has a few really exciting launches, and this year, the one that got us jumping around a little is the new La Collection de Grasse. You know we have a soft spot for floral scents, and the L’OCcitane Collection de Grasse is a collection that’s put together with the most precious ingredients.
The Grasse region is where Europe drew their essences for fragrant ingredients from. This is why Grasse has a reputation as the world capital of perfumery, because it unites precious ingredients from all over the world. To help you visualise this better, we should probably tell you that local growers cultivate jasmine, rose, orange blossom and violet – scents that can be found in a lot of perfumes.
Created by Karine Dubreuil, the La Collection de Grasse includes four EDT fragrances:
Jasmin & Bergamote – This is concocted with jasmine absolutes from Grasse and Egypt, and bergamot essential oil from Italy. A delightful scent that is fresh, it makes a great day perfume should you want something that’s more invigorating.
Magnolia & Mure – Formulated with magnolia essential oil from the Far East and blackberry infusion from South of France, this is a fruity fragrance that smells almost delectable. However, don’t expect something that’s just sugar and spice. The slight musk in the notes give it touch of sophistication too.
Vanilla & Narcisse – Made up of vanilla absolute from Madagascar and narcissus absolute from France, this is a vanilla oriental fragrance that will uplift your moods. It is slightly romantic and I’d imagine it the perfect scent to wear for a date at the park.
The Vert & Bigarade – Laced with green tea extract from Japan and bitter orange essential oil from Tunisia, this is a fragrance that even men will find favour with. Its subtle and warm notes make it a classic that is very easy to wear. I’d think this is a go-to fragrance for those days you just can’t decide what to wear.
Each fragrance (75ml EDT) is also complemented with a body milk (175ml), shower gel (175ml) and perfumed soap (125g). They’re already available in stores, and you can either purchase them individually, or get the perfume gift sets, or gift sets that bundle all the items in the same scent together.
