Over the years, MAC cosmetics has collaborated with icons like Mexican-American music legend, Selena, Rihanna, and haute couture house, Giambattista Valli, producing bestselling collections time after time. Barbie’s last release with MAC left fans wanting for more- and the brand delivered.

Their newest, universally flattering lipstick, @Barbiestyle, dropped on 9 March, and is resonant of the doll’s iconic cool-toned, bubblegum pink lip colour. The formula is matte, yet glides on smoothly, which means less touch-ups and full-power, Barbie pigment throughout the day.

The shade is housed MAC’s classic bullet-shaped casing, but in a bespoke shade of gold that we just know will be the perfect addition to your vanity or makeup bag.

MAC’s director of makeup artistry, Gregory Arlt, suggest users apply the colour with a matching lip liner (we hear MAC’s lip liner in Edge to Edge (USD18) is a dead ringer for the shade) and gloss, or to even use it on its own. Alternatively, take a leaf out of Kim Kardashian’s book and line your lips with a dark liner first, before swiping on the exclusive lipstick, for a trendy nod to the 90’s. Plus, lining your lips in a darker, nude shade automatically contours your lips for a fuller look- just like Barbie’s!

@Barbiestyle retails at MAC stores islandwide, or at MAC cosmetics’ website for USD20, but last we checked, the lipstick has already gone out of stock.

Update: Hey, guess what, we’ve found out that it’s available at Lazada!
