Marc Jacobs fans: the next time you visit New York, besides going to the Marc Jacobs fashion boutique, you can also visit his first-ever beauty store.
The fashion designer has just opened a beauty store that’s dedicated entirely to the Marc Jacobs makeup collection as well as his fragrances. Located in Manhattan, the Art Deco inspired store spans 500 sqft and features Sephora’s custom-made Marc Jacobs gondolas.
Enter the store and you’ll notice the centrepiece – a black granite where professional make-up artists will work on clients. A custom-made monochrome chandelier hangs over the top. Look to the left, and you’ll see a display of his perfumes, and under it stands a vintage table that showcases cosmetics bags.
The opening of the beauty store is yet another display of Marc Jacobs’ determination to step into the beauty world, having launched 122 pieces of products for his collection, and scored Edie Campbell to front the campaign.
