When a brand launches new eyeshadow shades at one time, usually we’re looking at eight to 10 new shades, or an occasional 12 new ones. This time, for the launch of Make Up For Ever’s Artist Shadow eye shadows, we are talking about 210 shades, in five effects: matte, satiny, metallic, iridescent, diamond.
The Artist Shadow eyeshadow isn’t exactly new – it’s been a perennial favourite among makeup artists for the past 30 years, and in fact are the first products that the brand’s founder, Dany Sanz created. This time, the entire range is renewed and updated after three years of work.
Fine, supple and easily-blended, the new range is made with a new technology that offers intense colours that also glide on smoothly so it offers an added sensorial experience on the skin.
To create the pearly formulas (satiny, metallic, iridescent, diamond), the Water-Blend Technology and Pigment Atomization were used in the manufacturing process. The former technology gives the colours its intensity, purity and evenness, while the latter gives the formula a creamy texture that’s easily blended.
The matte formulas contain no pearlized particles to guarantee evenness, and the use of Pigment Micronization technology ensures that the colour is pure and even. Also, the use of nylon powder, zinc oxide and talc helps the formula feel soft, easy to apply and layer, and to stay on for a long time.
All 210 colours are available at the Make Up For Ever Academy & Pro Loft, located at #01-06, 36 Armenian Street, 108 at Sephora Ngee Ann City and other Sephora stores will carry 24 of the shades.
