The product we are about to talk about is definitely a force to be reckon with. After all, since its release in Korea in April 2013, it has sold more than 10 billion KRW in only six weeks and with that, reset the record of the greatest sale in the shortest period of time in Sulwhasoo. And we are talking about a 50-year-old luxury brand here.
The product is the Luminature Essential Finisher and it’s now available in Singapore.
This is the first time the concept of a “finisher” is introduced into Korean’s basic skincare routine and the Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher is built on the Korean wisdom of “Mi-an”.
“Mi-an”, literally translated as “beautifying finish” was introduced 1,500 years ago, as a product to be used at the very last step of skincare regimen for achieving luminous skin. It was formulated during the Age of Three Empires and recorded in Kyuhap-Chongseo (Encyclopedia of Women’s Life) during the Joseon Dynasty in the 19th Century.
How does it work?
By gently embracing skin to form a natural protective barrier, the Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher enhances the efficacy of products you’ve applied before it by locking the active ingredients into the skin.
Each bottle of the Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher is packed with the concentrates of five roots of ginseng and 110 cups of green tea. The former known for its skin regeneration benefits and the latter for its ability to purify skin.
A beautiful bottle to boot
We love that Sulwhasoo spared no efforts in making the bottle a sight to behold too. Collaborating with Hyun Sook Jeong, a mother-of-pearl inlay artist, the product bottle is wrapped with traditional Korean mother-of-pearl inlay.
The Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher is available for SGD112 at all Sulwhasoo counters.
