Urban Decay has given us 100 shades of lipsticks with the launch of the new collection of Vice Lipsticks. Now, Shu Uemura spoils us further with the launch of ONE HUNDRED stunning eyeshadows. Yes, 100.
If you’re a Shu Uemura fan, you might be familiar with its Color Atelier first launched in 2011, which allows you to customise your own eyeshadow palette based on the colours you want, put into a refillable, reusable palette. This year, the Japanese brand pushes the envelope further with 100 shades of Tokyo-inspired colours for you to choose from. Think: the variety of shades taken from plum blossoms in Shinjuku Gyoen, neon lights in Shinjuku, lush greenery in Yoyogi Park, avant-garde fashions of Harajuku – the possibilities and combinations that range from timeless to edgy are limitless.
Of these 100 shades, 43 are new shades that have never been seen before in Shu Uemura. These eyeshadows feature technology that will make the eyes of any makeup enthusiast light up; the silicone-coated powders deliver intense colour payoff, are mirco-fine so it can hug your skin snugly, and gives a silky finish that doesn’t dry out.
Choose from a range of six textures: velvet matte, subtle shimmer, radiant pearl, enchanting iridescence, cool and dramatic metallic, sparkling glitter and pick them up with a special double-ended brush available in your custom palette (Octo) retailing at SGD35, which has room for eight pressed eyeshadows or four glow on blush colours. Each eyeshadow shade will retail at SGD25 and will be launched in July.
