1. Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream (SGD11.90)
Staying on the liquid lipstick trend, we’ve got new affordable option that you can try! Priced at SGD11.90, these liquid lipsticks are creamy, yet they dry matte. It also doesn’t dry out your lips as much as a liquid lipstick from popular brands like Colourpop, Stila or even Kylie Lip Kits would.
You can get the Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream from Watsons.
2. Australis Metallix Eyeshadow (SGD8.90)
If you love having glittery eyeshadow but stay away from it because you fear the catastrophe if you accidentally topple the glitter pot over, this is your next best bet. The Australis Metallix Eyeshadows are of a unique consistency that’s in between a cream and a powder with a relatively bouncy texture. When applied in a patting motion onto the lids, it gives a beautiful sparkle! Build it up to the intensity you desire and you’re pretty much good to go. Plus, you can also use it for an everyday eyeshadow look without appearing too over the top. Here’s how our writer incorporated the shade Guns N Rose Petals into her everyday makeup routine.
You can get the Australis Metallix Eyeshadows from Watsons.
3. Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal Eyeliners (SGD12.90)
This pencil eyeliner is creamy and it stays in the waterline all day long! The nude eyeliner is also an alternative to a white one if you want to make your eyes look bigger and more awake.
Rimmel is not available in Singapore. However, you can get them online. We got ours from Shopping District.
4. Milani Baked Powder Blushes (SGD18.50)
Milani is another brand that’s not available in Singapore, which is a shame, because their baked powder blushes are amazing! They’re smooth, pigmented and easy to blend. You can get Milani blushes online at Shopping District.
5. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (SGD12.90)
We’ve previously mentioned about this product in our product dupes article. While many overseas YouTubers rave about this product, we rarely see it in the beauty community here in Singapore! It’s actually a great alternative to Bioderma if you’re on a budget. Do note that you probably need a couple of more cotton pads when using this to remove makeup.
6. Catrice Single Eyeshadows (SGD7.90)
Not familiar with Catrice Cosmetics? Well, that’s because it’s really an underrated brand! The brand carries incredibly affordable products. While we haven’t gotten the opportunity to try them all, we’ve tried the single eyeshadows and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! At just SGD7.90, the single eyeshadows are buttery and pigmented. They do kick off a bit of fall out, but it’s nothing major, and for just SGD7.90, we shouldn’t be complaining!
Catrice Cosmetics is available exclusively at Guardian.
DV Tip: Stick to the single shadows as the formula of the shadows in the palettes are not as great.
7. L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows (SGD13.50)
The eyeshadows in this range is AMAZING. Packed tightly into the little pot, its powder is highly pigmented and of incredible quality. The best part? It only costs SGD13.5o! This range is not available in stores in Singapore. But you can get your hands on them online from Shopping District.
8. Vietnam White Mask (SGD5 or less!)
Why spend a lot on pore strips when you can spend SGD5 (or less!) on what we think is the best pore remover EVER. We got ours off of an Instagram seller but Qoo10 sells them too! The product comes in a tiny bottle and the paper strips. All you have to do is smoothen the mask onto the areas where you have a lot of clogged pores and blackheads and lay down the paper strips on top. Let it dry for 15 minutes and slowly peel them off. Not only will you say goodbye to your clogged pores and blackheads, it’s also oddly satisfying to see all the gunk off of your face!
