One of our go-to places for some delicious hot pot, Haidilao has always gone the extra mile beyond its usual food offerings. On top of manicures, Ziplock bags for your phone, and free snacks while you wait in line, the restaurant chain is now dipping its toes into cosmetics with three new lipsticks.

Spotted on RED (a.k.a. China’s Instagram), these lipsticks come in a textured, dark grey case with gold detailing.

The most popular variant houses a spicy “Capsicum-Rouge” shade – an orange-toned red that’s a close colour match next to Haidilao’s Tomato Soup or Local Laksa Hot Pot. From the swatches we’ve seen, the lipstick seems to have a creamy, satin finish, which should wear comfortably on the lips.

A closer look at the lipstick bullet reveals a pretty capsicum plant design, which shows a cute pepper hanging off the stem, accompanied by little leaves.

Besides the “Capsicum-Rouge” shade (left), there are two others in the range, named “Love Apple” (centre) and “Glazing” (right). The former is a bright cherry red that’ll add a pop of radiant colour to your lips, while the latter is a shimmering ginger shade that supposedly adjusts to your lip colour.
The lipstick trio is currently available in China, but isn’t clear if it will be making its way to Haidilao outlets in Singapore. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get our hands on them and try them out!
