Fann Wong stole the limelight at the star-studded Star Awards 2014, as she and husband, Christopher Lee, appeared with her 5-month baby bump.
Besides the limelight, she also stole our hearts with her gorgeous braided updo, which completed the ethereal Greek goddess image she’s conjured up with her flowing white gown.

Chen Li Ping shows off new body
Chen Li Ping grabbed attention too, flaunting a slimmer silhouette. We are also in love with the radiant makeup she’s wearing, topped with a cherry-red lip colour that complements the happy mood of the newly-crowned Best Actress Award winner. The casual wavy hair was also a bull’s eyes.
Julie Tan channels rocker chicness
While Julie Tan missed out on the coveted Most Popular Artiste Award, she won a place in our beauty hall of fame. The young actress carried off tousled bed-hair perfectly, completing the uber-cool rocker chic getup she’s sporting.
But what we thought would have made this look even cooler? Plum lip colour, khol eyeliner and/or glitter eyeshadow.
Rui En the glam queen of the Star Awards 2014
If Jennifer Lawrence is Hollywood’s model of flawless hair and makeup at awards nights, then Rui En is Singapore’s answer to the Hunger Games A-lister.
While she oozes sleekness at last year’s awards night, this year she’s all Hollywood glamour. Rui En looked effortlessly gorgeous with cascading waves and a dull red lip colour that complements her fiery dress. This girl’s definitely on fire.
Felicia Chin sports strawberry hair
We are not too fond of this strawberry-coloured short crop that Felicia Chin is sporting. This definitely looks great when wearing street fashion, but at a star-studded event? We can’t help but think ah lian.
Our suggestion: Go for an updo and swap the soft pink lip colour for a duller pink one instead.
Tong Bing Yu with blonde highlights
What is probably worse than ah lian is overaged ah lian. Tong Bing Yu is giving us mixed signals with her old Hollywood poufy ‘do, and an outrageous streak of blonde locks.
Joanne Peh retains same hair as last year
Hey Joanne, let’s remind you, this was your hair last year:
And this is from this year:
Could you tell the difference? We scrutinised hard and noticed more flyaways in this year’s look. Babe, take a leaf out of Rui En’s style book and change up your look from time to time. A gorgeous woman like you would have looked great with more volume and variety in your hairstyle. Check with Li Ping or Julie’s for hairstyling tips.
P/S: We really love how you put together four Hermes scarves into that gorgeous dress, though!
