We went live on Instagram and Facebook last Friday with SJ Wai, pro-artist at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty and makeup artist to celebrities and royalty like Kate Moss, Demi Moore, Lady Kitty Spencer, and JK Rowling.
This was part of our Get Fly on Fri series, where we host weekly live-streaming sessions for Daily Vanity followers, sharing beauty tips and product recommendations. (Psst, follow us on Telegram to get updated on our upcoming line-up of live sessions!)
In case you didn’t manage to join us last Friday, here are some tips, tricks, and products that SJ shared. (And check out the video embedded above to see if SJ and I really glowed after following the routine!)
5 easy steps to a glow-at-home routine
Step 1: Double cleanse
Who knew, double-cleansing is relevant even though you’re staying home most of the time and not wearing any makeup.
SJ recommends using the Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Cleansing Ritual Duo, which consists of the Citrus Oil Cleanse, a coconut-oil-based cleanser that removes makeup and sebum, as well as the Bamboo Charcoal Cleanse, which purifies your skin.
The cleansing step is enhanced when you remove the cleanser with a wet muslin cloth to gently exfoliate your skin.
Step 2: Mask
This is another step that surprised us: mask after cleansing, SJ recommended. But before you reach out for your standard sheet mask, SJ told us she loves the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask – so you can get glowing, without any mess.
The dry mask is able to hydrate and nourish the skin because of the unique textile fabric that has been infused with tiny vectors of skincare ingredients. It also comes with ear hooks to ensure a snug fit.
The best part? Each mask is reusable up to four times!
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask retails for SGD115 on their official website and USD80 on Beautylish for a pack of four.
Step 3: Apply a brightening serum
For the third step, SJ recommends the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, a brand new product that has just arrived in Singapore. In fact, it was only launched a day before the live-streaming session, which means Daily Vanity followers who hung out with us were among the first to get a glimpse of this new product!
Containing some of the best skincare ingredients around, such as Niacinamide and Vitamin C, this serum brightens up complexion, evens out skin tone, deliver intense hydration, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In other words, it sounds like quite a do-it-all solution.
SJ demonstrated a lymphatic drainage massage that will enhance the absorption of this serum (or any serum, really). You can view the video on our IGTV to watch it. The video is embedded in the introduction of this article and you can see the massage techniques demonstrated at around the 33.30-minute mark.

Step 4: Don’t forget an eye cream
Our eye area needs a perk-me-up too, in order to achieve an overall glow.
SJ recommends the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue Cream and you can watch her massage demonstration in the video, at around the 39.40-minute mark.

Step 5: Finish off with a moisturiser
Finally, seal in all the skin-glowing goodness with a moisturiser. If you’re a fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, you may be pleased to know that the brand has just launched the Magic Cream Light Moisturiser.
This has all the goodness of the previous cream but with a lighter texture for those who don’t like products that are too thick and rich.
This moisturiser is also newly launched along with the Magic Serum – which means you can be one of the first to see how it looks and works if you check out the live video!
