The Naturale Glow Cushion Foundation SPF50/PA+++ & HD Pressed Powder Duo made some big promises and naturally, I couldn’t resist putting it to the test to see if the cushion foundation duo can live up to its claims.
Having recently been crowned winner of Best Cushion Foundation (Editor’s Choice) at the Daily Vanity Beauty Awards 2021, it’s fair to say that my expectation of the product went up a notch and I was more than keen to see whether it can make the complexion of my combination-dry skin look even and healthy.
What I dislike about certain cushion foundations is the formula itself, which either gives me a cakey finish because of the heavy formula or makes me look like a greaseball due to its glow-enhancing formulation.
So you can understand why I was apprehensive at the beginning due to the term ‘glow’ in the product name – but to my pleasant surprise, the cushion foundation duo delivered a second skin-like finish that still managed to cover up my dark under-eye circles and also even out my skin tone but didn’t suffocate or feel heavy on my skin at all.

The cushion foundation duo is also said to boast a long-lasting formula, which means it stays put even when you have your protective face covering on.
The formula itself is marked as transfer-resistant so I expected it to stain my mask a little, but the cushion foundation stayed on fairly well and didn’t leave my mask looking disgusting with streaks of foundation stains even though I perspired throughout the day.
With the help of a primer beforehand followed by setting powder to keep the foundation in place, I can imagine that mask-staining won’t be an issue. So, be sure to do those steps if you don’t want to deal with any makeup inconvenience!
The buildable coverage offered by the cushion foundation is another plus point too, which allows me to easily control the application so I can afford to go a little heavy-handed on areas that need more coverage and then scale it down on others that don’t. What I especially like though is the product’s pore-blurring effect, which covered up my blemishes perfectly for a soft matte look.
Another thing that I noticed with the cushion foundation duo is how little product I needed for full-face coverage, so it’s definitely a makeup base that will give you bang for your buck. The pressed powder is another favourite feature of mine, as it kept my T-zone oil-free for most of the day – I only needed to touch up towards the evening which is pretty impressive considering that I’d applied it before nine o’clock in the morning.
