I’ll be honest: if there’s anything I’m super discerning about, it is my hair colour.
As someone who has been dyeing my hair at the tender age of 14 (yes, I was that girl who got sent back home for having freshly dyed tresses in secondary school), I tend to be a cynic when it comes to the hair care scene.
My damaged locks have undergone just about every ‘miracle’ hair treatment there is, and yes, I have tried about every other shade out there, too. It is why I was pretty skeptical when I headed down to Be Salon for my appointment— though I found myself changing my tune pretty quickly.
The staff were knowledgable, friendly, and efficient, for one, getting me settled in my seat with a cup of water the second I arrived. No waiting around required! I was then introduced to Chester, my stylist, who put me at ease immediately with his friendly demeanour.
After some discussion, we decided on an ash blonde balayage hue for me. I loved how Chester took my preferences into consideration, working to come up with a shade for me that would require no bleaching of the scalp. Phew!

The dyeing took place quickly, with a treatment following after to ensure that my hair stayed smooth, glossy and healthy.
And as you can tell, the results are pretty spectacular. I emerged feeling like a whole new person, with rockstar-worthy locks. And while they bleached my ends, there was none of that dry, straw-like quality to my hair that comes with most bleach jobs. Consider me duly impressed!
