When I first reached for the Hada Labo Snow Dew, it looked very unassuming in the simple yet cheerful blue jar packaging. Upon using the mildly scented formula for the first time, my skin felt refreshed instantly.

My skin had a slight bounce and glow to it as well within the first use, and I particularly like how the texture felt like snow as I massaged it into my skin, which took no time to melt and be fully absorbed.

Personally, I find that it checks most of the boxes when it comes to what I want in a moisturiser. Within a week of review, I observed positive changes to my skin hydration, texture, softness, oiliness, and overall skin health – all without clogging pores or causing irritation.

When I first opened up the face cream to try, I got excited immediately because the Hada Labo Snow Dew Moisturizer looked just as its name suggested! I was so amazed by the unique snow-like texture and along with the lightweight, non-sticky finish, it also had a pleasant aroma that I liked.

The moisturiser absorbed really quickly and left no residue on my skin at all. In fact, I barely felt it on my skin – all I could sense was a refreshing after-feel upon application. My skin felt instantly hydrated, smoother, and somewhat bouncier after using it for the first time. When I looked at my skin in the mirror, I could tell that my skin had a glow to it as well.

I particularly like how it left a cooling effect on my skin, and I wanted to continue using the product even though I’ve only used it once. After incorporating it into my daily skincare routine for two weeks, my skin felt softer and more supple compared to before and it remained hydrated but not greasy. While it locks in moisture effectively, I find that the moisturiser doesn’t clog my pores which is a huge plus.

I typically stay away from moisturisers because the ones I’ve used only made my skin even greasier throughout the day. So, you can imagine my surprise when I tried Hada Labo Snow Dew Moisturizer and did not experience any of the said oiliness!

The formula absorbed really quickly and made my skin feel supple and hydrated with any heavy or greasy after-feel. After using it for just the first two days, I noticed visible improvements in my skin hydration, softness as well as sebum levels, which is pretty impressive!

I also noticed that my makeup lasted better within just one week of trialling Snow Dew. Personally, it’s the best moisturiser I’ve ever tried – it delivered what it promised, which was to offer a big gulp of water to my parched skin.

Most importantly, I really like that its sorbet-like formula helped my skin stay hydrated throughout the day without much oiliness.

Prior to trialling the Hada Labo Snow Dew Moisturizer, I was using a face cream that was unfortunately too heavy for my skin, so much so that it caused my skin to break out overnight.

So, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Snow Dew checked all the boxes for me, from its lightweight texture and non-sticky finish to its fast absorption rate and affordable price tag.

Using it twice daily after toner and serum, I first noticed how the formula glided on smoothly and absorbed really well, leaving my skin to feel instantly refreshed, plumper, and more hydrated after.

I like how the moisturiser left no unwanted residue on my skin, which is a huge plus point for me as the top two factors that I look out for when it comes to moisturisers are lightweight texture and non-greasy absorption.

I also appreciate that it helped my skin stay hydrated throughout the day and even refined my skin texture after regular use. Despite it being marketed for oily skin, neither did the moisturiser irritate my sensitive skin nor leave any other negative side effects.

In less than a week, I’d seen a decrease in skin oiliness; after 14 days, my skin doesn’t feel as dry in the mornings and it remains moisturised all day long without being oily!

I’ve already made up my mind to repurchase the moisturiser once I’m done with the current one because it just does a great job at locking in moisture for my skin – even my makeup glides on better now thanks to the moisturiser.

With the previous gel-type moisturisers that I used, I was particularly dissatisfied with them because they had claimed to be non-oily formulas but within an hour or two, my skin would be glowing – but not in a good way.

With the Hada Labo Snow Dew Moisturizer, I like that the formula’s consistency was refreshingly light and it absorbed into my skin really swiftly to hydrate my skin while mattifying its appearance. I also appreciate the pleasant, non-overpowering perfume as well as the spatula that the face cream comes with.

My parched skin felt hydrated, refreshed, and refined immediately after using the face moisturiser, and I find that the hydration it delivered also lasted much longer than other moisturisers I’ve tried previously. After two weeks, I noticed how my skin felt softer and more moisturised throughout the day but not in a way that made me appear like a greaseball.

I really like this product and I will repurchase it after I’ve used it up! You can also bet that I’ll be recommending it to my friends and family who are dealing with skin dryness and dehydration.

While my previous face cream worked for me, the scent was just too overwhelming for my liking and the formula also took too long to absorb when I use it in my routine – I often had to wait for it to properly sink into my skin before I slather on my sunscreen.

More importantly, my skin – which had slightly been on the drier side due to a pore-unclogging cleansing toner that I was using – lapped up all the moisturising goodness that the lightweight formula has packed within seconds so I didn’t have to waste any time waiting for the moisturiser to be fully absorbed into my skin.

Within the first use, I already saw better-hydrated skin that was less oily; after a week, I noticed an improvement in my skin texture. Additionally, my skin doesn’t feel as thirsty anymore after 14 days and it definitely remains hydrated throughout the day. Plus, my skin no longer feels as dry in the mornings!
