You’re probably already familiar with the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation, which is a cult favourite among beauty lovers.

Rejoice now, because this worldwide bestselling foundation is available in cushion form!

Just like the rest of the True Match range of products, this cushion also promises to offer 24-hour hydration in a dermatologically tested formula that doesn’t clog pores. Even those with sensitive skin can look forward to using an ultra high coverage foundation without breaking a sweat!

Available in three shades, the True Match Cushion boasts the following benefits:

  • Lightweight
  • 14 hour matte, pore-less finish
  • Ultra high coverage

Hang on… did they just say a matte cushion foundation that also has high coverage? Now, that gets us excited.

We’re not going to just take their word for it, but decided to put the True Match Cushion through three tests to see if it really lives up to its claims.

1. Lightweight test

The L’Oreal Paris True Match Cushion is supposed to be high coverage, but still is lightweight on the skin. In the lightweight test, we take a drop of True Match Cushion and a drop from a foundation from another brand to see which of them is light enough to float in liquid.

2. Coverage test

Our writer, Mandy, has always been on the lookout for a great foundation with sufficient coverage to cover her post-acne scars and pores, without needing additional concealer. Check out how the True Match Cushion looks on her.

3. Oil Test

Singapore has unforgiving weather that will usually leave our face looking shiny half way through the day. The L’Oreal Paris True Match Cushion claims to be oil-controlling, long-wearing and matte. To see how well this works, our writer, Tiara, applies olive oil all over her face before applying the True Match Cushion over it. Will the foundation be able to help mattify her skin despite the greasiness?

Watch the video below to find out how the L’Oreal True Match Cushion fared in the three tests mentioned above.
