Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Gel Cushion review: Is this luxury cushion a worthy investment?

I like that the Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Gel Cushion lasts throughout the day and gives a naturally bright finish, which I really love. It has buildable coverage and I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for a cushion that gives an amazing finish.

The shiny rose gold case gives a luxurious feel and the cushion’s scent is pleasant. I like that the micro mesh helps moderate the amount of product and the puff lets the foundation adhere to my skin better.

Although the cushion didn’t manage to cover my dark eye circles and enlarged pores – I would need a concealer for them – it still met my overall expectations in terms of coverage.

I’ve heard positive reviews of Sulwhasoo’s cushions, but have never tried one before. This makes me excited to see if there’s a difference in this cushion compared to those from other Korean brands’ that I’ve tried.

Unlike other cushions that need multiple layers, what impressed me was that the cushion glided on effortlessly so one layer was sufficient. The coverage is really good and it gives the signature dewy look that Koreans love. However, it didn’t last throughout the day on my oily skin. I needed a round of touch-up.

Compared to other cushions, the Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Gel Cushion surprisingly gives a matte finish but is not overly drying, which was not what I expected initially. My skin feels moisturised throughout the day and I like the fragrance too. While it does not cover my redness from scars and my dark eye circles completely, I still think the product is good overall and is worth its price.

This cushion feels moisturising and offers good coverage. My skin also remains matte throughout the day. It may be of a higher price point but I think it’s a good investment and is definitely a worthy purchase.

This cushion is lightweight yet offers a decent coverage. It is possible to layer on without caking up the makeup. It is long-lasting too. Even after wearing safety goggles and getting water on my face from my trip to the dentist, it didn’t turn streaky. It is amazing how it feels like a second skin. It is definitely suitable for combination skin and for Singapore’s weather.

The Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Gel Cushion applies evenly and melts into skin nicely. It is a good foundation for everyday makeup as it is lightweight and presents a natural no-makeup look effortlessly.

I’m surprised that it stays intact even on the oily T-zone; only a little transferred when I blotted with tissue. It was able to adhere to skin well and doesn’t budge throughout the day. However, I find the finish slightly sticky, but it can be corrected easily with some powder.  It’s one of the cushions out there that is worth its price and I will recommend it to friends.

I’m glad that I managed to achieve a long-lasting semi-matte finish with this cushion. It has met all my expectations and as a bonus, I really love its fragrance.
