Here’s how we dug deeper to discover the beauty brands that are truly popular within China:
- Makeup artist @yuelu.artist mentioned brands that might be more popular domestically. We researched those names to see if they have a strong presence in China.
- This reel also started a discussion over on Reddit, where people were dissecting brands that were truly popular in China and sharing their sentiments towards them. We delved into the Reddit thread and see which brands are consistently mentioned positively by users familiar with the Chinese market.
- Over on Chinese social media like Douyin and Xiaohongshu, we researched viral and trending products that users were reviewing.

Looking for high-quality and affordable makeup? Perfect Diary might be perfect for you! From the Reddit thread, everyone seems to be raving about this C-beauty brand.
Perfect Diary is a well-established brand that was founded in 2017. It offers a comprehensive makeup line, including popular items like its Explorer Eyeshadow Palettes, which feature adorable animals.
