Cosmetics brand MilleFée brought the saying “your face is a canvas” to a whole new level when they released these Vincent van Gogh-inspired eyeshadow palettes.

This isn’t the brand’s first attempt at creating eyeshadow palettes inspired by famous paintings. They’ve released palettes based on Monet’s paintings, which flooded our social media feeds when it was first released.

Everyone was awestruck by these works of art, to say the least.

They released four palettes in the Van Gogh collection, each one based on a famous painting of his. Like their previous renditions of the painting’s eyeshadow palettes, each palette comes in book-like packaging, with six shades ranging from unique glitters to wearable mattes.

You don’t have to be an art fanatic to recognise Van Gogh’s famed paintings. The Starry Night painting is a stranger to none, which sparked our curiosity on how those iconic colours would translate to wearable eyeshadow shades.

If you’re just as fascinated as we are, read on as we’ve gathered all the information you need to know about how you can get your hands on these exquisite palettes!

Right off the bat, the golden-blue shimmers caught our eye, being the representative colours of The Starry Night painting.

The colours entwine in a marble-like design, much like the one in the painting itself. While it appears to be a striking combination of primary colours in the palette, it blends out into a wearable smoky shimmer.

We like that it’s paired with wearable beiges and browns, shades that make for a good base. The wine-red shade ties the mellow colours together for a darker look reminiscent of a night sky – perfect for a fancy dinner or a night out with friends!

The MilleFée Painting Eyeshadow Palette in 08 The Starry Night retails at S$34 and is available at millefee.com.

Like the delicate painting it was inspired by, this palette comprises of soft, pastel colours fitting for the springtime.

The shades come together in a feminine, cool pink, fitting for a romantic date night. Pair with a sheer pink lip, and you’ll get yourself a cohesive yet effortlessly elegant look.

10 Roses

Browns make up the majority of the shades in this palette, with a stand-out shimmer shade in the painting’s signature green and white.

We love how its colour payoff is accurate to how it looks in the pan, a unique yet wearable shade of earthy green, just enough colour for a tasteful twist.

The final look harmonises into a shimmery, natural beige, which creates just enough dimension on your lids without venturing beyond these safe eyeshadow colours – perfect for daily wear.
