Love how local beauty brand Sigi Skin incorporates superfoods in its products? Now you can even taste the superfoods for yourself – literally!
Sigi Skin is collaborating with InterContinental Singapore to launch a new Vegan Afternoon Tea: Sigi Skin Edition at the five-star hotel’s The Lobby Lounge.
This afternoon set is inspired by 10 superfood ingredients found in Sigi Skin’s award-winning skincare products. The superfood ingredients include matcha, goji berry, and acai, just to name a few.
Besides enjoying a delectable afternoon tea with this experience, beauty enthusiasts will be happy to know that you’ll also be receiving a piece of Sigi Skin Tea-Tox Hydrating, Soothing & Anti-Pollution Sheet Mask and Dream Capsule Overnight Mask (travel size).
In terms of the menu, this is what you can find in the Vegan Afternoon Tea set:
- Fishless Fingers with Vegan Tartare Dip
- Tomato Concasse, Plant-based Meat Ball Skewer
- Sweet Potato Truffle Fries with BBQ Dip
- Pumpkin Mousse, Avocado, Mushroom with Tomato Arugula, Spinach Wrap
- Acai Blueberry Vegan Cheese Cake, Soy Bean Cream
- Banana Oatmeal Cake, Coffee Chocolate Cremeux
- Green Tea Tiramisu, Souffle Sponge
- Chocolate Brownie with Almond Chocolate Ganache
- Tropical Yuzu Custard, Puffed Rice
- Goji berry scones served with non-dairy cream (made with rice) and strawberry jam.
Daily Vanity tried the Vegan Afternoon Tea prior to its official launch and we were pleasantly surprised by how we couldn’t tell that the items were vegan. This is despite not having butter, eggs, or cream – three of the most commonly used ingredients in pastries and sweets – in any of the food items.
Highlights for us include the Fishless Fingers, which really tasted like regular fish fingers, wrap, the chocolate brownie, which tasted rich and decadent.
We also enjoyed guessing what vegan alternatives were used for each item and were impressed by how skilful and smart the culinary team was in preparing this set. (If you don’t want to guess, just ask the server about each item!)
Vegan Afternoon Tea: Sigi Skin Edition will be available daily from 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2022 at The Lobby Lounge, lnterContinental Singapore, 80 Middle Road, Singapore 188966. First seating is from 1pm to 3pm and second seating is from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
It will be priced at S$55++ per adult, inclusive of fine loose-leaf tea or coffee, unlimited ice cream and scones or S$70++ per adult, inclusive of a flute of Taittinger Brut champagne, fine loose-leaf tea or coffee, unlimited ice cream and scones. You can also top up S$10++ per pax for a glass of non-alcoholic Copenhagen Sparkling Tea.
